Nice clean and simple hotel

This stay was pretty much as expected. Not many amenities but terrific staff and very clean. No food or beverage service hunting that going in. Though maybe there would be coffee in The room but there wasn’t.

Everything was adequate, nothing more. Room air had an odor, the toilet stopped working during the night and no one to call, and no one at the desk the next morning when we left. I had to leave a note about the toilet. It was fun walking straight into the furniture store. And our host at check-in was fun and helpful. Signage to the front entrance is incorrect and the front door not clearly marked. The pool is empty and the game room was covered in dust. But it was safe and affordable.

Great Stay and Great Value

The attendant at the front desk upon checking in was wonderful. She was very helpful and accommodating. We had an issue with the tv going out about every 4 minutes. I called the desk and she was to my room in less than a minute. They changed out the tv and we were all set. The only problem was I went to the check area for coffee at 8:30am and there were no coffee cups left on the counter and the desk doesn’t open until 9:00. All in all, a very nice stay for a great value.

Interesting situation with this hotel being directly attached to a local furniture store, literally. The hotel part of the enterprise seems a bit of an afterthought with one attendant, a lovely lady named Ruth who appears to be tasked to be on site 24/7, 365. Beds were cozy and showers were hot and satisfying. If you just need a place to catch up on some sleep from the road, great stay. Just do not expect any extra ambience or creature comforts of higher priced hotels in the area.

Pleasantly Surprising

This was a hidden gem. It is attached to a huge furniture store in front with hotel in back. It’s an older building but the rooms have been nicely renovated. Very clean & quiet. Convenient location.

Everything was excellent. The only improvement would be to give it a facelift. One other thing, the bathtub shower couldn’t be turned off if you wanted a bath. Probably needs a new valve and plug adjuster.

Checking in was difficult. The office closes at 8 PM and I had to use the phone number to call and wait for somebody to come let me in. That was compounded by the fact that the directional sign outdoors is incorrect. It directly to a back area of the hotel, which I was told "used to be our lobby". Apparently they've opened a new lobby but the signage on and around the property takes you to the wrong side of the hotel. So of course you have to get back in your car and drive around and again lug. You're all luggage into the correct lobby. Room is very basic. No water for the guest either in the room or available to be purchased from the room. Obviously no room service.

Misleading amenities information…

We received a call 3 hours before checkin to let us know they close at 6pm so we’d need to checkin before then. Seemed weird! We arrived at 3pm (checkin time) and had to wait several minutes before anyone came to the desk. We chose this hotel because all information reported there was a pool, WiFi and breakfast. Upon checkin we were told the water-filled pool was broken and there was no breakfast. Our boys, who were visiting from out of town, were very disappointed. Once in our room, we realized we weren’t given WiFi information. We called the number provided to us. After several rings, the woman on the other end told us she didn’t know the WiFi password. While sleeping we were awakened by loud bass. We walked outside to find the source. There were 2 vehicles in the lot running but it wasn’t clear where the music was coming from. At checkout, we rang the bell multiple times. After several minutes, we called the number provided. The woman who answered told us to just leave the keys on the counter. Room was clean and comfy, but the whole experience felt very impersonal. Good place if all you want/need is to sleep.
