Interesting no staff approach so we fought with the all electronic locks on the doors and won. 😂 But all worked tickety boo. Lovely and clean, the rain during the night was stupendous, I liked the guy sailing past in a big boat full of animals

Very comfortable accommodation and stay

A great place to stay. What they do they do well. Very comfortable. We stayed 3 nights. We cooked dinner each now night. Although there wasn’t anyone around we could call someone in charge if needed. Room was clean and tidy. Heater worked a treat and was on when we arrived at check in which is a nice welcoming touch as still cold outside.

Well positioned

The motel is conveniently situated and was well provided. The staff were quick to respond when we needed help getting the TV to work. The wet shower room was a bit damp, but otherwise our stay was comfortable. BetsyJane's restaurant and bar next door was excellent. Lake Mathedon is a short drive away and well wirth a visit.

The property is based in a great safe and quiet location. In addition, there is an impressive restaurant and bar just up the road. I thoroughly recommend staying at the Lake Matheson Motel.

Comfortable and convenient for viewing glaciers.

The room was clean and very comfortable. We appreciated being able to walk into town for dinner and drive to the lake and lookout area in less thay10 minutes!

A great place to stay while we explored around Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers - we wished we could have stayed longer. Probably the most comfortable beds during our whole trip. The staff were lovely, the room was spacious and well set up. We were surprisingly warm and snug, despite the cool weather. A gorgeous location, and an easy stroll to fabulous dining. We would definitely stay here again.
