It's an outdoor sports club type establishment with snow lovers and families. The golden benefit is to be secluded, away from civilization right near the beautiful mountain and snow forest with have cross country equipment rental right on premises, fire places! Hot tub (pool is closed in winter) and thoughtful good people! We had an auto collision and Sarah supported us in time of need.
Im a cross country skiier. It's hard to find these among many mountain resorts.

This was a 5 star stay and we will definitely be back. The staff were friendly, helpful, and personable. The room was clean and cozy. The small touches that matter - they had them all. We were able to sit in the hot tub after a day of skiing, there were fresh baked cookies in the lobby, coffee all day, access to a fridge and microwave, TV downstairs, arcade/game room. They have a restaurant in the basement of the property. Breakfast in the morning was better than any hotel breakfast. Cereal, bagels, pastries, coffee, juice, French toast bake, etc. The location of this Inn is perfect for any ski trip or hiking adventure! Again, we will 100% be back and with our families :)

The common rooms were very nice... a library, a fireplace to read in front of, dining room with all day access to coffee and hot chocolate. Nice hot tub. XC skiing right next door. And a pub with fantastic food.

The people and food was wonderful. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very dated, carpet seemed worn and limited outlet use. The first night was cold. I had to request an additional blanket despite having a floor heater, which worked well. For the price, I was a little disappointed with the condition of the room. Bed was ok. The people and the food really boosted my review. Staff was great.

This is an old Inn that is charming. Unfortunately our room had a lot of moths and tiny flies and we didn't notice them until late when getting back to the room and going to bed...and because of the moths landing on the bed we really didn't sleep and couldn't complain since it was late. I mentioned this to the front desk in the morning and they said moths are common for an old inn and will tell housekeeping..they did not offer a resolution like a small discount for our inconvenience...that was disappointing.

We stayed at the Franconia Inn for two nights over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. Even though we had to check in very late at midnight, the inn was extremely accommodating and made the process smooth and stress-free.
Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with just the right New England charm. The common areas were equally inviting—warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing between outings. The continental breakfast was excellent, with a nice selection and great quality that set us up for the day.
Overall, the Franconia Inn combines charm, comfort, and great hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Overall a really nice stay. Rocky start with having been given 3 different sets of room keys. First room on 3rd floor had someone’s belongings in it. We were given another room but then given keys to a 3rd room before we even got to 2nd. In fairness the hotel is being renovated both inside and out. Room was nice and clean, continental breakfast and pub food were fine and pub had a very good female guitarist and singer for entertainment. I was super impressed with the accommodating restaurant staff and ladies at front desk who checked us out!
And convenient to the glider airfield across the road.
