Perfect for a family getaway

This home and location was a dream. Near everything we love about Northern Michigan. Enough room for our entire family (including MIL). We each had our own room and the location is right in the woods: relaxing, clean, heaven on earth. We can’t wait to come back!!’

Family Vacation

Overall a great place to stay. Close to water, although not on the water. Kitchen is small, but has the things you need. Driveway has room for cars to park. Clean and comfortable.

Great family home rental in the woods

Very private, quiet, well-stocked home in the woods. Nicely finished lower level ADA access with bathroom grab bars and walk-in shower worked well for unexpected surgery recovery.

a gem just a walk from lake Michigan

Great space! Felt hidden and private, but close/within walking distance to the Lake Michigan beach. Lots of room for our family of 5 as well as my parents who stayed with us. The porch was a great place to hang out and we had most amenities we needed. The bedrooms were spaced out and comfortable. The basement was a bit damp, but we are used to that 'cottage' feel and we didn't mind. We enjoyed it and would visit again.

Cabin in the woods

We loved being in the woods and Frankfort is an awesome town to explore; even in the off season. The home is mostly updated or well taken care of, but the kitchen needs love... The floor was dirty, there was crud stuck in the sink drain, the counters hadn't been wiped, the dishwasher hadn't been emptied, and there was alcohol left (luckily out of reach of my children). The fridge was clean and had been bleached. The beds were okay, definitely on the firm, not plush side. The balcony upstairs was very nice to enjoy the scenery. The wifi was reliable and there were board games. The road to the home is unimproved and there is a setup nearby of like scarecrows? that really freaked my kids out, especially at night. Lastly, if you're looking for a secular situation, this ain't it. It's located in some christian assembly area that restricts nearby access to Lake Michigan and there were religious pamphlets in the home. Overall, a nice stay for what we paid.

Cottage in the woods of CSA

Great place and location. Easily assessible to both Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake amenities. The home had all the necessities, was clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully outfitted and having the grill was great. Would recommend and look forward to a visit in the future.

In the woods!

This house is in the middle of a woods. Pictures made it seem as though it were on a lake-which it is not. Also, dont forget your bedding to this property because it only includes sheets, so bring your blankets or comforters. Clean enough. I wrote to Vacasa the night we got there(to inquire about bedding) and no response the whole time we were there. Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake are a short way away. On bikes maybe 5 minutes, so nice and close.
