My Great Happy Place

Great property and location!

We were in town for the Ironman 70.3 this past weekend and this house could not have been in a better spot, everything was an easy walk away and we didn't have to worry about driving and parking on race day! The owners were great and very responsive as well. Would absolutely stay here again!

A Wonderful Getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was spotless and very comfortable for the 4 of us. The location was perfect - an easy walk to everything we needed. And there was plenty to do!

Great weekend away

My husband and I needed a little time away from the hustle and bustle and My Happy Place was the perfect choice. Clean and close to town. We relaxed and enjoyed the quiet weekend we needed.

Clean and cozy

The house was very clean and well suited for our family, I appreciate dog friendly rentals. The kitchen was better stocked than most, great for staying in and cooking.. Very conveniently located with respect to the grocery store.

Great Place!

My happy place is exactly that - a great place right outside of downtown Frankfort. An easy walk to the store for groceries, a short walk to the lake, and a short walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and the big Lake Michigan. We loved it here - the house was super clean, comfortable, and had EVERYTHING we needed!

Perfect Frankfort location!

Our stay was great! Perfect location to food, shopping, beach! Linens and bedding were great! The bed mattresses and linens were probably the best I’ve had! This is a big issue for our family! When a house is being rented that is a very big item in our must list ! Great place to stay and Frankfort has many things to do to have fun near by!

Great location,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house is nicely updated, very clean, well-maintained and perfectly equipped. It was even thoughtfully decorated for the holidays, which was a really nice touch and made it feel a bit like home. It’s nicely situated on a quiet street, just a block from the grocery store and a short walk to the beach. We walked to Lake Michigan most days during our stay. Really appreciated that we were able to bring our 2 dogs with us as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, clean home in a great spot!

Easy check in, very clean and comfortable. The owners were very thoughtful to anticipate things you might need or want to know. For example, left dog bowls for my pups. Suggestions for dinner and places to see. Shampoo and conditioner in the shower, etc. It was a nice, quiet neighborhood, walkable to the beach and town. We thoroughly enjoyed the table being in such a bright sunny spot! Thank you for a fun, relaxing stay!

Fun old house with many updates!

Overall we had an excellent stay at My Happy Place! The communication was clear and timely while booking and checking in. Really liked the keypad check in system. We loved that it was a dog friendly place and our pup was relaxed and seemed to feel as at home as we were. When we first arrived, we noticed dog hair in areas of the house (e.g. hardwood floor corners, bedskirt of master, etc.) but I'm sure it's nearly impossible to get it all. We didn't cook, but the kitchen seemed to have everything you'd need to prepare any meal. The beds were super comfy!!

Honest review

Giving an hinest review The place was clean.Easy to get ahold of somone.Once it warmed up a bit, the outside smelled like cat pee, was gross - what i understand its the bushes.Down stairs was always cold, had to really crank the heat up, but then the upstairs would get to hot.Not obviously there fault, but the stairs to go upstairs are not necessarily kid or pregnant wife friendly, 2 extremely narrow stepsHot water in the shower was poor after maybe 4 minutes of running.Im not sure how strict the dog rules are, but for being "pet friendly" they have alot of rules that semi contradict that. Cant leave them alone, not allowed on furniture - i get this, BUT many people let animals on furniture, so trying to stop them is not easy if there allowed elsewhere.Overall the place was fine and it worked for us, but i wont pick this house again personally.

Frankfort family vacation

House was nice, quiet little town and just 12 miles from Arcadia Bluffs golf courses. Great golf! Many downtown Frankfort businesses were only open weds-sun and not open until noon. But we managed to find what we needed. Only two minor things about the house. I don’t believe the floors had been cleaned, maybe swept. It wouldn’t have been important except our 9 month old granddaughter had crawled across the living room and kitchen floors and her little knees and tops of her feet were covered in dirt. Other than that, the house was pretty clean. The only other issue we had was the Keurig had been put away in a cupboard with water left in it so it was quite stinky and not useable. Other than those two small things….great trip and great stay!

Beware of stairs, frig, and dirty sheets

Owner needs to address stairway. It is a hazard. My daughter fell and hurt herself. Frig needed to be replaced and leaked. No ice available. Sheets and bedding were full of hair/dog fur. Had to replace bedding to use the bed. Property needs cleaning on outside. Full of cobwebs and not inviting. We deserve a money back. My healthcare provider will likely put in a claim for medical expenses due to injuries from the fall on the stairs.

Great Location

This house has everything we needed for a long weekend to ski at Crystal Mnt. Conveniently located at the edge of downtown, it’s right across the street from the grocery store and a very short drive to the downtown and beach. The kitchen is well equipped with a very nice naturally lit nook with plenty of seating. An oversight on my part on the listing, both bathrooms are main level and the stairs are a little narrow and steep making the trek to the bathroom at night a little challenging but manageable. Bedrooms are comfy but a tad small. All in all, a nice fit for our family.

Well kept, with a desirable location to downtown and beach area.

Went for a week to see the dunes and some color change. All went as well as expected. Enjoyed the fall festival with family. The place is a fair deal and would look again for the same area if available with the correct timing. Thank you!

Peaceful Frankfort stay

The house is very clean, well supplied and in a quiet, tree lined neighborhood. Shops and the beach are within walking distance, and the town grocery is a a block away. Everything is pretty much as advertised. We had a lovely stay.

Very Clean and Conveniently Located

My family enjoyed our stay at this rental. It was conveniently located to the downtown area and beach, and had plenty of parking space and privacy. The house was incredibly clean and had ample seating indoors and outdoors to truly accommodate our group of seven. In addition, the check out procedures were minimal, unlike many rentals that require completing elaborate task lists prior to departure. We’d stay here again!
