- Complete with access to Great Pond, this rustic Cottage and beautifully designed Cabin are within walking distance of each other. The cabin is about 1/4 mile over the hill, please keep in mind for mobility and distance awareness. Nestled off-the-grid on 32 sprawling acres, this one-of-a-kind vacation rental is a true oasis. Explore the wooded natural surroundings, gather around the firepits, or launch the canoe or kayak for a peaceful day on the water. Franklin is just minutes away, while Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park are all within easy driving distance for unforgettable day trips.
Relax in The Cottage's cozy living area and watch a new movie on the smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed to create your favorite dishes. The wraparound deck offers impressive vistas of the surrounding woods and peekaboo lake views. Fire up the gas grill and dine alfresco on the terrace. Gather around the wood-burning firepit. This lakefront property includes the use of a kayak and canoe.
Detailed with vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows, the welcoming living area in The Cabin offers a prime spot to enjoy movie nights. The immaculate kitchen offers a full suite of stainless steel appliances and a kitchen island. The primary suite has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is also an attached screened balcony and an amazing forest-view balcony.
The covered outdoor space has a gas grill and a bistro table. Enjoy evenings by the wood-burning firepit.
Complimentary WiFi and a private washer/dryer are provided for each home.

Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
The loft in The Cottage is accessed via a steep ladder, does not have a railing, and has limited headroom. The loft in The Cabin also requires stairs to access.You cannot dock boats at the private dock.
The indoor wood-burning stove in The Cottage is inoperable.
While The Cabin has air-conditioning, The Cottage does not.
Due to the property's steep access road, all-wheel drive is suggested year-round and may be required in winter months.
All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

The best spot!
We loved staying at the Lazy Lumberjack Cabin! It was a great escape from our busy lives and truly the best spot to vacation! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed and more! We hope to come again with our kids!

Beautiful Cabin!
This is a beautiful cabin! We loved our stay here, the cabin was clean and spacious. The driveway goes up into the woods so there's complete privacy! We enjoyed lounging by the firepit and using the Sauna since the weather was cooler while we stayed. All the furniture is nice and comfortable. There were plenty of amenities, shampoo, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc. 5 stars all around!!
