Review

Room was clean but shower had spots on the wall. AC was excellent, room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Bottom floor/accessible room was very noisy as it was close to the check in desk, ice machine and smokers patio directly outside the window.

I am working in Frederick for the next few months and am loving my stay at Candlewood! My suite is nice, comfortable, and perfect for my needs! I have had ZERO issues. As a female staying alone, I feel 100% safe here. The staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming, professional and very accommodating. So far the other guests I have encountered have been kind and quiet. The hotel is in the process of being updated, but if you didn't know work was being done, you'd have no idea. There have been no inconveniences or disturbances from the work going on. This hotel and the people there make having to work far away from home much more tolerable.

Accomadations were good. Nice kitchen are, full size refridgertor, and dishwasher, apartment size stove. Room was nicely laid out and comfortable.

Hotel combines wirh residence

The service was great and room was safe. During my night comfort zoom, there was Artification outside across from my window veiw of the parking lot .. Otherwise .a extremely peaceful stay

Room very new and nice. Tiny bathroom for a big spacious room and no safety handles for tub & toilet. Orbitz and Website said Indoor pool and continental breakfast and pics showed big breakfast display. However at check-in...NO CONTINENTAL Breakfast, You must pay for Anything! And Pool CLOSED "for maintenance" (ALL WEEKEND!). Two main reasons I had selected this hotel -Pool & Breakfast. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. THEY ALSO TRIED TO CHARGE ME AFTER I HAD ALREADY PAID ON ORBITZ. THIS WAS ALSO THE FIRST TIME IN 20 YEARS I PAID MORE ON ORBITZ THAN WHAT THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME A SECOND TIME. (Their website said there was NO VACANCY, so I had booked on Orbitz) **BEWARE** Very shifty and deceptive marketing and hostile employee when I expressed my discontent.

Location and price!

Staff were all very welcoming, polite, and friendly. The gentlemen who checked us in was kind enough to put us close to the exit with the dog area, as well as close to our family. The room was decently clean, a little dusty though. There were only three pillows provided for a queen bed that were the size of throw pillows?! Location was great, about, about 10 minutes from downtown. We would likely stay there again if the price was right.

It's fine

We have stayed here before, and it's fine. Carpets need cleaning, stairway smelled bad. The toilet in our room had been used and not flushed. The rooms are dated, and need a deep cleaning. It is one of the few pet friendly hotels in the surrounding area. We appreciate that.

I arrived 2 hours early. I checked in with the desk. Since check-in was technically at 3:00, I asked what time I should return? The gentleman at the desk accommodated me immediately! I was so relieved, that I could settle in and rest from a long trip. He was polite, professional and efficient. It was a great experience working with the staff, even on the day of check-out.

Awesome room set up

There were spider webs in the ceiling corners. The kitchenette floor was dusty. The edges of the floors had dirt Not to mention there were cockroaches that I’m praying we didn’t bring home.the beds are horrible as well killed our backs It’s a shame it wasn’t cleaner because the room has an awesome set up it was nice to have a stove, refrigerator, sink etc. saved money being able to cook in room but had to be careful roaches didn’t get in the food they were accommodating when it came to our dog they made sure our room was near the door and that meant alot to us and we enjoyed the pool

They were doing construction a facelift which was outside my window. The closet door was broke and would not close properly. The sofa/bed sat so low that the coffee table was taller than the couch making it very difficult toget up. Twice i slipped getting into the tub and they had no safety bar to hold on to get in snd out the tub. The full size refrigerator was nice and having the microwave also.i did not use the oven and it had a small dining table which was nice.

The staff and service were friendly. However, the room and property were unclean and resulted in our family driving home at bedtime instead of staying for our second night we paid for. The surfaces in the room were visibly uncleaned as we could see markings, residue, and other indications that they were not cleaned from the last guest. When using the hair dryer, it started smoking and almost caught on fire. The bar of soap from the previous guest was still on the bathroom sink; and garbage was still in the garbage when we checked in. We chose this hotel partly so we could enjoy the pool with our kids. The pool was cold and only had one chair in the entire pool area, besides a few broken chaise lounge chairs in the corner. The man at the desk did mention that they are about to begin renovations so, if true, that will be necessary and worth it. The overall feel of the place was that it’s not currently being cared for to a standard that would make guests enjoy their stay or want to return.
