This was our favorite VRBO stay so far. The cottage was clean and beautiful inside and out. We loved feeding the deer and watching the birds every day from our porch. We love staying here when we come to Fredericksburg. We have stayed here 4 times now and loved it each time. The home is warm and inviting when you arrive and we love all of the personal touches that are added to the charm of the home. We love the location. You can be in downtown in less than 5 minutes but it feels like you're out in the country while sitting on the back porch watching and feeding the deer that come up just 10 feet away. We will always try to stay here when we come to town!!

If you are looking for a quiet place, this is the place. Convenient to Main Street shopping. Lynn has thought of everything you would want plus more. The bed was comfortable and the cottage was decorated to make us feel right at home. We spent a lot of time on the backporch which backs up to acreage where lots of deer roam. We will be back!

This little Cottage is amazing! After a full day of exploring the history of this intriguing town, we would arrive back at the cottage, relax on the porch and feed the deer. There is 1500 acres to look out over. Very quiet and peaceful. The Cottage itself is extremely cozy and is beautifully furnished. The Hosts communicated very well on arrival and departure needs. We truly enjoyed our visit. We are of the Older sort, so the peace and quiet was perfect. To the Hosts, Thank You.

We had such a delightful time at this wonderful little cottage. The property was clean. Instructions for everything were made clear and easy. We got to wake up and see deer eating 10 feet away from us. And the butterflies flitting around our front as you walk in really gives this cottage a magical touch. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The location is just a few minutes away from Main Street, but on the edge of country. We enjoyed our evening visits from deer, which we were able to feed with corn, provided by our host. The place was well kept, clean and had most everything we needed to cook, eat with and sleep comfortably. If we visit Fredericksburg again, we’ll definitely arrange to stay here.

This is a lovely, nicely furnished cottage that is perfect for two. If mornings with coffee, or evenings with a glass of wine spent on the back porch with deer and birds to keep you company appeals to you, you’ll love this cottage. And it’s only a 5 minute drive to the historic Main Street. We loved our stay!

The Samples are amazing host! They thought of everything you would need. The Samples are very detail people and their hospitality is superb. We enjoyed the quietness of the property, feeding the deer and the comforts of home, and so close to Main Street! My husband and I will be visiting the Samples again.

The stay was great. I did exactly what I had intended to do and that was absolutely nothing. Really enjoyed feeding the deer (corn provided). Just about everything was provided, snacks, some juices, cooking and eating utensils, you name it. The owners were right next door but you really didn’t know it. Great stay, can’t wait to book again.
