Surfside beach getaway

This is an older home but it was very clean and well kept. Some repairs are needed but nothing to hinder a great getaway. The hosts and guest contacts were awesome friendly and helpful and always respond when needed. We enjoyed our weeklong stay do much.

Enjoyable stay

The owner and property manager were very helpful during our stay! Tropical storm surge caused flooding but that only kept us from beaching walking. The short walk to the beach from the house was nice. King size bed was super comfy! We had a great stay and would consider staying here again.

Awesome weekend beach home!

The location was absolutely perfect for our family of five to enjoy a weekend at the beach. The home had everything we needed for cooking and doing laundry. It made it so easy to wake up, make breakfast , and walk right onto the beach for the day. We were able to take quick breaks to go back inside for lunch and be right back to the beach in minutes. The air conditioning and water heater were in perfect working order. The beds were also super comfortable! We can’t wait to go back!

Cute home. Close to the beach. Love that the water is not foul smelling. It has a wobbly floor. Rain storm came last day.. almost flooded us in considering home sits lower than other homes. Needs some structural repairs.

Upon arrival we were pleased the beach access and view. Literally just a minute or so from the water in walking distance. We were equally pleased with the inside of the home. Beautiful and furnished well. We picked this home in large part because it’s a pet and smoke free environment. (In addition to the before mentioned items of course) Awesome communication from our contact for the home. Very welcoming and made us feel comfortable with our stay! Overall an awesome experience. We are very picky and we would be hard pressed to find something to complain about lol. Definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing worry free stay on the beach!

First the host never responded when I reached out about earliy check-in, Thanks to the VRBO rep, The stove did not work, the fridge stopped working and we ran out of toilet paper, and there were no face towels, yes the beach view was great that’s the only good thing came out of this house stay

Nice comfortable place

Everything was nice and in order from start to end. This is a nice place for a small family getaway or weekend stay for two like I had. I was within walking distance to The Beach Front Deck Bar & Grill, which is where the event I attended was held. The host made contact with me to ensure I had received check in information and emergency contacts. I do recommend not parking under neath the house due to the soft sand after it rained.

We enjoyed our stay. the couches could use some vacuuming; they're heavy with sand. the floor has several soft and sinking spots, but manageable to avoid.

Very cute property, few minor repairs need to be done as fixing the cute lights to enjoy on the underneath. Other than that very easy access to the beach which was really nice and having a washer and dryer was a huge plus along with beach toys to enjoy. Owners are very pleasant to work with and attend to your needs if any arise.

The house was great, my family and I really enjoyed the house. It was a short walk to the beach. Gary the owner of the house was easy to get a hold of when I had a question concerning the house. It was the very first time I have ever rented a house to go on vacation and my experience was great that I will do it again. Perfect Vacation

This was the perfect location for my little family of three. My son and I walked the short distance to the beach several times a day. The beach itself was so quiet and serene. It was nowhere near busy during our Tuesday through Friday stay. The water was rough out farther, but had a long enough range of still waters for small children to enjoy. This made it amazing! The house had most everything we needed. Bathrooms located in each bedroom was great for privacy. The décor was perfect for the little beach cottage. There were boogie boards and sand toys below deck, so no need to run out and purchase them. As I said, this was the perfect place for us to stay, and we would recommend it to everyone! We were extremely happy with our stay despite the items for improvement I list below. The king size bed has a thick foam pad on top which made it nearly impossible to sleep comfortably in any position except on my back. I just absorbed right into the pad like a cloud. This made it difficult to get out of said cloud. Yes, the sub-floor needs some work. There were areas that really dipped in when walked on. These were in high traffic areas. That being said, I understand rotting wood is definitely a problem with the sea air. Thank you for allowing us to have a wonderful vacation!

Not worth the money

Stayed 4 days here this past weekend. Upon arriving and unloading, someone showed up to bring us a cooler and ice because the refrigerator was 60 degrees. We had 4 adults, 2 babies and a 5 year old. There was a lot of food/ expensive food at that. No one notified us of this before our stay and according to other reviews it has happened to multiple other people. Not only that, we bought trash bags, paper towels, dish soap and kitchen towels. The house was not clean upon arrival. The babies feet were black within 5 minutes of playing on the floor. Showers were very dirty and brown bath mats from dirt. I’m normally go with the flow but there’s too many things on my list not to complain. I reached out to property contact who said someone would be coming- no one showed. Property manager reached out and made excuses for everything. We would have left and went to another property had we been given a refund but after spending my entire trip on the phone with VRBO and the property management team- all that was offered was $124 after spending $1,200 on our trip. Will not be back.
