“My husband and I stayed in the Lookout house. We had a nice view of Lake Superior at the McQuade harbor. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well outfitted. We appreciated the air conditioning because it was unusually hot in the area. This rental is conveniently located halfway between Duluth and Two Harbors. We enjoyed walking around the McQuade harbor, the Two Harbors shoreline and drinking coffee at Cedar Coffee. We went to the Scenic Cafe and the French River. The Lookout house has……

“Our stay at the Sanctuary Suite was exactly what we were looking for. The location right next to McQuade harbor meant the lake views were beautiful! Checking in and communication with Joel and Ashley was easy. They left a little list of things going on in the area and we happily checked out some of them. Everything was so clean and felt brand new. There were many things meant to make us feel right at home (s’mores supplies and local books and resources to name a few). If you are looking for a……

“Location, great communication. Beds comfortable, table sticky, coffee pot had old coffee at the bottom. Bathroom could've been cleaner, stuff on wall, mirrors dirtyWe did not report this so it was our own fault”

“This property was lovely. The studio apartment was the perfect size for 1-2 people and I stayed here for 4 nights total while I was in between houses in the process of moving. It was a quiet, cozy and A/C filled apartment so it was the relaxation I needed before moving for good. Thank you Heirloom Vacation Rentals!”

“This was a great little cabin for a rustic weekend getaway. The hosts provided everything you need, and left very detailed instructions. They were very helpful and considerate, and the property was exactly as described.”

“Wonder place to stay!”

“Nice location”

“Very prompt communication from host. It smells a bit odd in there. The host says it's from the pilot light in the stove and recommended opening a window. That didn't do much since the window is pointing towards the bedroom. The sink in the bathroom is VERY small. It's barely large enough to wash hands with much less brush teeth or wash face or shave. The internet provided by the host is also pretty fast. The floor is slanted up as you walk further in into the bedroom area. It is not level /……

“Property description stated air conditioning. I may have missed it but it was a window air conditioner in the bedroom which did not help in the kitchen. Also the TV was in front of the same window. Thankfully the weather was not too hot. Property did have a fan but it was just as loud as the air conditioner. Otherwise good property to stay in, We would again, The crock pot availability was nice on vacation as well, came back from a day exploring and dinner was ready.”

“Was very pleased to have AC and fans during heat of summer and need to spend lots of time indoors due to smoke. Well equipped and functional kitchen. Proximity to Duluth. North Shore, and the Apostle Island Lakeshore.”

“The unit is the downstairs of an older house and you can tell in some of the details: creaky floors, uneven walls, etc. Overall, however, the unit is nicely decorated and furnished; it looks nice, is clean, and is a pleasant place to stay overall. The company hosting the unit did a great job quickly responding when we asked for Kleenex dish towels, and another pot - those things were delivered the same day. The only thing that would make me hesitate to stay here again was the beds. Both……

“Very responsive host. The property was very well appointed and recently renovated. Excellent location and proximity to all of the local attractions. The property was clean and everything was in working order.”

“Great place & super cute location close to local shops & great food! Would definitely recommend!”

“Very cute and clean apartment. Comfortable bed. Had a great stay.”

“We recently stayed in the condo for two days and have had a pleasant experience. We loved the views, and there atmosphere. We chose this property over a hotel because we love how it Mae us feel at-home. The property was clean, and it was quiet from neighbors. The traffic noise didn't;t bother us when the doors were closed, and it didn't bother us any when the doors were open. We highly recommend using them again, and will be staying again in the future.”

“Very attentive owners very roomy nice location enjoyable stay in Superior, WI thank you !”
