Family owned bed-and-breakfast/working farm with simple but very comfortable accommodations. Owner hosts were very engaging and attentive and engaging making themselves available to answer any questions. Taking hiking trails in this incredibly peaceful setting was an unexpected highlight.

It was isolated and I did not see staff until Thursday morning while I was leaving. And that was only because they had the wrong credit card on file. It has a very old world feel to it. Might be ok for romantic getaway but not for solo travelers. Very few amenities. I did feel over charged.

We had fun running around the farm looking at all the animals and gardens. The hosts were lovely and breakfast was excellent. The bedding was exceptionally nice. We picked blackberries on a walk. I highly recommend.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was very disappointed with our stay at Saturn Return. We paid nearly $400 per night after fees for a two-night stay and were very disappointed. The biggest issue was that the listing described the room as having an ensuite bathroom, but we were only informed the day of our arrival that the bathroom was actually located in the hallway, not an ensuite. The room we received also did not match the photos. Instead of the larger loft room shown, we were given a tiny downstairs bedroom with what appeared to be a full-size bed pushed into the corner, right next to the common area, offering very little privacy. The property wasn’t well maintained. The fire pit shown in the listing was completely overgrown with weeds and unusable, and the yard was unkempt. Breakfast was disappointing: a cold, dry quiche, an unusual homemade bread, and no other options like yogurt, fruit, or oatmeal. When we contacted the owner, we asked about a partial refund or a different room since we didn’t receive what we expected. We were told that wasn’t possible and were offered half a bottle of wine instead. Overall, the accommodations did not match the listing, and the lack of a meaningful resolution left us very disappointed. I would not stay here again.

Wonderful and relaxing with the nicest hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay with Ema and Wylie! They are the nicest people and their inn is charming and warm. The locally sourced food was such a wonderful bonus. We will certainly "return" to Saturn's Return! The only suggestion I have is to put the coffee out earlier than 8:30 for us early rising caffeine addicts! :)

Friendly environment. My wife and I stayed here on our anniversary. The staff were friendly to greet us right upon arrival. We had originally booked the last room available in the inn, but in the end, they gave us an upgrade. The breakfast was fresh and locally made, including with eggs from the chickens on the property. The bread was made with locally-milled flour from neighboring Lopez Island. That's the most local I've had with bread. The property is also a short drive from the charming Roche Harbor, with fine dining options for dinner.

Amazing! What a gem! I am so glad I had the occasion to stay here. The hosts were amazing! They put such care & thought into every detail. I love that it was simple but full of charm & warmth. From fresh wildflowers throughout the home to light jazz in the evenings. It was perfectly clean, they are very attentive and they make staying there a breeze which was so welcome after several busy travel days. I was so happy to be a part of what they've created with the farm store, local organic foods and their gardens. Cannot wait to back! Highly recommend!

The bathroom was a 3’ by 2’ “closet” with almost 10” of distance between the door and the toilet. Impossible to sit and close the door for a tall person like me. The room was very small and I think the pictures were misleading. The surrounding property was very cute and gorgeous with very kind personnel. There were fresh flower everywhere and delicious sourdough bread for the breakfast.

My wife and I really enjoyed our farm stay at Saturn's Return. In general the accomodations are simple, clean and no-frills as you'd expect at a working farm. We stayed in the Deluxe Room, so cannot comment on other rooms. Ours was clean, large and comfortable with a large windows and beautiful view of the farm and valley. Service was low-touch, easy and good. Breakfast was a simple pre-made affair using local products, very much from the farm and very in synch with the farm vibe; we liked it very much. We thought we got very much the working farm stay that we expected. If that's what you want then this is a great place.

Absolutely loved this brand new B&B. It's a work in progress right now as they just recently opened it, but that in many ways made it even more charming. The couple that owns and operates the place are just the warmest and most accommodating people. Do yourself a favor and spend a few nights there.

A new inn on the island, Saturn's Return is lovely. A beautiful setting on 42 acres, with walkable trails, farmland, and a pond, it's quiet, peaceful, and feels like a retreat. Hosts Emma and Wiley are kind and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious. Fresh local foods, including those grown on the property. We especially enjoyed picking blackberries along the trail and stargazing at night. The location is excellent, near Lime Kiln, not too far from town, and also not too far from Roche Harbor. We stayed in two rooms, a deluxe queen with en suite and a deluxe king with en suite. The king was wonderful, with a stunning view across the field and a gorgeous view to wake up to. The queen was charming, with a view of trees and the stream. Though we were there during a heat wave, the large room had AC and a fan was provided for the smaller room, making for decent comfort despite the heat. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended. We would certainly return, and we wish the innkeepers the very best of luck with their beautiful venture.

A relaxing retreat

We had an amazing time at Saturn’s Return. Originally we planned to do some riding around the island, but the location was peaceful, and the walks were delightful, so we ended up staying on the property most of the time. It was one of the most relaxing trips we have had in a long time.

You have to stay here!

What an amazing stay! Everything was exceptional and we will absolutely be returning. This will probably turn into our frequent visit spot as everything, down to the detail was perfect. The breakfast was very fresh with local eggs, bread, butter, granola, delicious coffee, smoke salmon, yogurt. The rooms were very comfortable and we slept without waking for the first time in months. Highly recommend this spot! It is 15 min to Friday Harbour or 45 min by bike and 8 min to Roche Harbor. Very central and easy to get to. We brought our bikes and bikes to Friday Harbour.
