This is a beautiful house. Very quiet and peaceful. The house is very clean, has the lastest cookware and couldn't be decorated any better. Very simple and very nice. I would highly recommend!!

Peaceful retreat

We spent a week in this beautiful home with our 2 kids and my mother-in-law. It was lovely to be able to enjoy the beach, the wildlife (deer, river otters, seals and herons) and the sunsets! The home is beautiful, lots of daylight and views and felt very cozy. We enjoyed making meals in the well-stocked kitchen. Thank you for creating such a welcoming space for our family!

Great View,

The view from every window is spectacular, we enjoyed watching otters seals, Blue Heron, and a family of raccoons down by the water edge for hours during our stay. We found the house to be very clean and something comfortable However, we did find that the dining room table and chairs were a little bit uncomfortable Other than that, we had a spectacular time

Wonderfully situated and comfortable

Loved the house's appearance and its situation poised right above Horseshoe Bay. Quite private, down a beautiful one-lane road. Having two bedrooms upstairs, each with bath, was prefect for us. Our only complaint: no coffee (though they had tea and hot cocoa). That required an inconvenient trip to Roche Harbor on our way to dinner elsewhere.

Return to Friday Harbor

11 years ago we sold our home in Friday Harbor And this was our first return to the island. Not much has changed, but what has only makes it better. We rent a lot of vacation homes and this one is at the top of our list. Not only were the views stunning, but the home has many comfortable places to stop, sit and enjoy. The condition of the home was amazing and we hope to return soon.

First. The home has some appeal but you cannot use any outdoor beach access at all and limited to a very small space to sit only. It is incredibly hard to be on the water, not have access or be able to walk anywhere. You are literally stuck in the home when you are there. It was also not very clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this quiet, well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and ideally situated house. We brought our own kayak and launched easily from the small beach below the house, enjoying daily paddles around the calm waters and to English Camp, Henry Island, and the Wescott Bay Shellfish dock to eat at their restaurant. The weather was ideal and the west-facing view provided beautiful sunsets every evening. Though next to the gravel road and a shared private dock, we had no issue with noise (it's not a thru-road), and the neighbors were quiet and respectful when they used the dock. The lovely kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals, and the outside gas grill was easy to use. We were sad to leave and look forward to returning!

Reviewer Comments: We loved staying at the Horseshoe Bay House, it was extremely comfortable and clean! we cooked many meals here and were impressed with their fully-stocked kitchen! After thumbing through their cookbooks, we were drawn to "Baking with Julia", we just had to make the Blueberry Nectarine pie, and we had everything we needed, down to the microplane for zesting a lemon! We saw a harbor seal playing in the bay, otters sunbathing on a nearby boat, bald eagles flying all from the living room. Our daughter loved their large collection of games and toys, especially "Pit", who knew a four-year-old enjoyed buying and selling commodities :) Thank you for offering up your lovely home we will be back!
