The hotel staff were very nice, the room was clean, large and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good with a nice selection of hot and cold options. Very well located and near to historic Funchal, everything within easy walking distance. Only negative was the sound of traffic was noticeable in the evenings / at night even with the windows/balcony door fully closed.

We couldn’t fault this hotel. Good location. Room was spacious, cleaned daily. Lovely rooftop with great views over Funchal which includes a spacious pool area /bar / restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed on half board, great choice at buffet breakfast. Dinner was a lovely three course, which we enjoyed every night during our five night stay. Would highly recommend.

Great location. Close enough to walk everywhere but not right in the midst of a super busy area. Parking was very convenient right behind the building. Bathroom was well lit and had great shower pressure. Breakfast room was very nice and had a variety of options. Roof top was lovely (pool unheated). I was also surprised with a bottle of sparkling wine on my birthday. The only negatives were the beds and room temperature. The AC would not stay at a cooler setting and the beds were not breathable which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Bra läge. Bekvämt med halvpension för oss som var iväg på vandringsturer hela dagarna. Skönt att komma till hotellet och få en middag serverad. Möjlighet att välja mellan förrätt/soppa, kött/fisk, dessert/fruktsallad. Vi valde genomgående fiskrätten, enkelt och bra.

A very pleasant stay. Good location close to the centre of Funchal convenient for restaurants. Hotel facilities are excellent, great breakfast selection, evening restaurant food was very good, nice rooftop bar and pool, very friendly staff.

O hotel é todo reformado, tem conforto básico. Limpeza, banheiro bom, localização boa. É o 4 estrelas médio. Tem tudo mas não tem charme. Não tem estacionamento. O hotel possui 5 vagas num estacionamento que dista uns 300m do hotel, apesar de estar colado atrás do prédio. Ficaria novamente.

Excellent stay at Turim Santa Maria Hotel. Staff couldn't do enough and were super helpful and friendly. Room was modern, clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast buffet was fresh and plenty of it. Good location just back from the seafront and promenade, and easy walking distance to shops and Old Town. The staff pointed me towards their secure storage room to jeep my mountain bike safe during the stay and avoid using my room. A great visit and I must say that I was really comfortable and had a great time. The rooftop terrace and pool was a fantastic bonus. An amazing feature and a great place to spend time. Pool was chilly - but this is a February visit. Good hotel, good value and recommended.

I stayed at this hotel from Monday to Sunday. The breakfast offered both hot and cold items, along with fruit and pastries, though the selection became repetitive after several days. The WiFi was also quite slow throughout my stay.The day before check‑out, I noticed several bite‑like marks on my skin. I reported this to the front desk and was told there were no available rooms to move to, but they could change the linens. At check‑out, the incident wasn’t mentioned until I brought it up myself, and the response felt dismissive. After returning home, I continued to experience delayed reactions from the bites. I contacted the hotel, but they stated that their inspection found no evidence of bugs. While I appreciate that they checked the room, the experience was uncomfortable and not handled with much concern.
