This is one of the best properties we’ve ever visited. The house was super clean and the owner was fantastic. She had great recommendations and made our experience unforgettable. We visited the area for some concerts in Alpharetta. She took the time to look up who was in concert and upon our arrival, the Alexa started playing their music. This was an incredibly thoughtful touch. We will 100% return.

We had a great stay at The Blue Cottage. The house was stunning and had everything we needed for a week by the lake. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with anything you could imagine. It was so much less stressful after traveling from afar to arrive at a home with all of the basic essentials already available. We were able to focus entirely on relaxing, and this was the perfect place to do just that. Kate was a tremendous host - very responsive and really went out of her well to ensure we were comfortable. She thought of everything! This was among our favorite rentals, and we have rented at many different locations. Really terrific.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Blue Cottage! The home is beautiful and incredibly clean. Every need is considered. Kate was very communicative and answered every question, some anticipated before I could even ask. We would certainly stay again.

5/5 Stars - PERFECT Lake House Getaway!

Our family recently stayed at this incredible lake house, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience. The home was impeccably decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. Kate (The Host) put so much thought into every detail—from the helpful amenities like extra phone chargers in convenient places to having an Alexa available to play music in the living room. This was our first family vacation in years, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. The setting, the home, and the hospitality combined to create an unforgettable experience for us. Everything was perfect and far beyond what we could have hoped for! It felt like 'home' away from home. We wholeheartedly recommend this VRBO to our family, friends, and clients. It’s a gem, and we’re already looking forward to the chance to return someday soon! Thank you for such a memorable stay!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING HOME!!!

First off, Kate was an amazing host! She was super quick to respond to any questions we had and provided us with a notebook full of great information on restaurants, grocery stores, etc. There is a beautiful smell throughout this home. The owners spared no expense on the appliances, cookware/dishes, etc. The kitchen is super organized and fully stocked with every kitchen/bar gadget you need, along with an ice machine. The living space and patio are so inviting and comfortable. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. The bedrooms are spacious and dark and cool at night. All have an adjoining bathroom. The master bedroom/bath are huge. There were a ton of extra pillows, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Hand soaps/lotions in the bathrooms are high end and smell lovely. The lake beautiful! Dock is super clean w/an upstairs deck and nice comfy lounge chairs. We sat out there every night watched the sun go down. It was so quiet and peaceful. There is a water trampoline, kayak, floats, etc. to jump in the water and cool off. The pathway to/from the lake is very well lit and manicured. The downstairs floor has a full-size washer/dryer, ping pong, TV and very cozy. The lighting throughout this magnificent home has dimmers, so you can make any room as bright or cozy as you like. The garage is the cleanest and organized garage I’ve ever seen. There is a Blackstone grill for cooking out. There is a Kroger right up the road. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful week

We had a wonderful week spent on the lake and the house had everything one would need. During a few rainy moments, we kept busy playing Connect 4, ping pong, etc. Kate was an exceptional host and provided top notch hospitality. Highly recommend!

Perfect

The house was just as shown. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The dock was clean and as expected. The trampoline and water mat were a bonus. Water was very nice. We took out the canoe several days & caught some fish. The game room provided plenty entertainment. Beds were comfortable and all bathrooms were spacious and spa-like. Kitchen had everything we needed and was a great size. Just overall very pleased. We will consider staying here again if we return to this area. Owners were awesome as well. You won’t regret choosing this place!

Beautiful lake house right on the lake nice area.

This house is fabulous. It’s better than the pictures show it so welcoming and clean. There was everything imaginable that you would ever need for a lovely vacation. We had a marvelous time and would love to come back to this house. It’s in a great area as well many things to do very close by. Kate was great to deal with and very generous with things that she left for us. Thank you again.

On the Lake Perfection

I can't say enough about the entire experience staying at this lovely blue cottage on the lake. We booked the cottage (actually a really large house) on the lake as we were coming to the area with my son who will be stationed at Camp Merrill to be a Ranger Instructor. Upon my arrival, I found a lovely welcome package. Lots of little yummies to nibble on during our stay. The house was immaculate and there was music playing which was so welcoming. The house smelled fresh and clean. The house is stocked with everything you can possibly imagine to accommodate every single thing you might need. The house even has an ice machine - which is a "thing" for me! The comfortability of the house - outstanding. The flow is so easy and comfortable. The family room is relaxed , you will feel like you're at home. The kitchen is large and easy to find everything you need with numerous places to eat dinner. If you like you can even sit out on the screened in porch and enjoy the sounds of nature and the lake. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The beds are comfy and the beds are not super hard. I have stayed at VRBO's when the mattress is so hard its miserable. You won't find that a problem at the blue cottage. All in all, hands down I will stay here every time I am in the area visiting my son. Don't miss out on this place - book your stay!!!

Beautiful home with everything you need!

The host has left nothing out of this rental. I have stayed in many homes but this one is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The host has also provided everything you could ask for in amenities (and more)! It is so nice they allow people to use their kayaks and provide life jackets. The coffee pods were a nice bonus ! I would definitely recommend this home!

Beautiful house on the lake

The house was beautiful - high spec decor, fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The position on the lake had perfect views and was really accessible with the kids. The games room, kids outide play area and access to the rowing boat were a huge bonus and meant the children were never bored! The host is attentive with immediate responses to any questions about our stay, we will certainly visit again!

This beautifully appointed home is designed for memory making with your loved ones, and includes so many thoughtful items, like the games, yummy smelling soaps, and luxurious bedding. Kate is an incredible hostess and had the house fully decorated for Christmas and holiday music playing on our arrival. We are already discussing future visits!

Perfect Thanksgiving

We stayed at The Blue Cottage over the Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve stayed in many Vrbos, but never has one been this well equipped! It was amazing. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the view of the lake was gorgeous. Honestly, the only thing that would have made it better is if it was my house!

Exceptional!

We absolutely loved our stay here! This house is spotless with so much thoughtful attention to detail. The kitchen is immaculate with everything you might need to prepare meals. The family room is both spacious and cozy with a beautiful view of the lake. We loved the screened-in porch where we got to watch deer in the morning. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We appreciated the basement bedroom and living/game room for the teenagers to have their space. Unfortunately, we were only there for two nights but we all said we wanted to come back for a longer stay in the warmer months. I cannot say enough about how much we loved this house. Also, Kate was a delight to work with. This was a positive experience all around.

Absolutely beautiful!

This property is one of our favorite places that we've ever stayed. It was very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the owners have thought of everything! The coffee bar and the game room were a nice touch, and although it was just my husband and I, we had a ton of fun playing pool and ping pong. My only complaint is that the house isn't mine and we don't live there! :)

Perfect Spot

Blue Cottage is a beautiful home that does not feel like a rental at all. The property is well cared for, very clean and each detail has been well thought out. We had every single thing we needed and even things we forgot to bring. Communication with property manager was quick and clear. We will absolutely be back! Highly recommend this adorable home.
