Nice Quiet Place

We basically just slept here and cooked a meal while we visited the area. It was nice. I’d take my own pillows next time as the ones on the bed are rather flat. Overall a great place that was peaceful and quiet.

So Cozy, it felt like home!

This is a very warm setting. Comfortable environment, great amenities, loved access to clubhouse, fireplace and scenery of mountains. Great host!!!

Super cute cabin in great area.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin in a great location. Beautiful area outside of town, but close enough to enjoy everything Galena has to offer. We also enjoyed all of the amenities available with this property!

Wonderful base for Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the property at the end of August/beginning of September. The listing was accurate and we enjoyed the amenities at the Owners Club, especially the pools. Did some lovely star gazing as well. Highly recommend!

Girls trip

Mom and I decided to get away for a few days and chose to visit Galena, IL. The property was clean and had all the amenities. Jolene was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to all our requests. I would highly recommend this property 😊

Can't Wait To Go Back

We had such a wonderful time. The accommodations were great and access to the amenities gave us so many more options of things to do. The twin beds were perfect for our 2 kiddos and and the large king size bed was even more perfect for family snuggles and movie watching. They had everything we need and anything we wanted was a quick trip away. Follow the directions that Jolene provides to get to the townhouse, it is a much more direct route then what your GPS will provide. We are looking forward to visiting again next year.

Weekend getaway

Lovely condo unit, perfect for two couples since there are two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Would work equally well for two or three friends since one bedroom has twin beds. Clean, quiet end unit, with deck overlooking a wooded ravine. One suggestion, please add a bedside lamp in the twin bedroom to accommodate those who like to read at night.

Great area, but pick a different unit

Unit was more worn than pictures appeared. Could definitely use some updates and a new mattress with a boxspring for the master. Felt very 90's / apartment like. Main bathroom felt set up for children, had low counters, low shower head and small toliet. There was a slight bug issue (small ants in kitchen and bathroom & spiders in the great room and even one crawling on the bedding in the upstairs room). We also had a maintance worker walk into the unit because we thought we were leaving on the 2nd day but we had paid for 3 nights (not sure where miscommunication was there). The Actual Galena Territory was beautiful and club house was very nice. Wish we had picked a more updated unit, we ended up not staying the 3rd night we had paid for.

Great Getaway

This was our first trip to Galena. This unit was located in a very pretty area. The countryside is beautiful. There were people in units near us, and we never heard them. It was cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Even with nearby trees, there was lots of natural light. We spent time at the house relaxing and time exploring Galena. We also took an easy hour drive to the Field of Dreams movie set (great if you like baseball). The only small hiccup we had was with the second payment for the unit. We had thought it would work like other rentals we have done with VRBO and we get a second payment request. For this unit, it was automatically done against the same card the first one had been done under. That was fine, but caused some angst as we were trying to figure out how to make the second payment on time and VRBO was unable to help us. Note, this may have been on us missing an email on how it worked.

The Galena Territory was perfect for us!

The Galena Territory including the Owner’s Club and Marina were perfect for our group! We swam at the pool, played games in the game room, visited the farmer’s market on Sunday, and rented a pontoon to fish (no swimming in the lake). We enjoyed our stay and the bed/bedroom setup were ideal for our group…two twin beds in the second master was nice for accommodating our three generations group. The TV’s in each bedroom were nice too for one more bedtime streaming episode. We enjoyed the quiet setting of the townhouse and the serenity it provided for our downtime. The kitchen had everything we needed, but note that the coffee pot is very slow. We did notice a few things other reviewers have…a dripping tub faucet and silverfish bugs in the lower master. We had a bug count of 14 during our 5 day stay. There were also ants in the carpet between the dining room and kitchen. There was a dead spider there that we hadn’t noticed that the ants were going to. Once we picked the spider up, we didn’t see ants again. The only other major negative we experienced were mildew smelling towels and sheets. That made the first sleep and shower not ideal until we rewashed some items. Thankful that there was a washing machine to do so!
