Since its construction in 1847, the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert has been a destination for Belgium’s upper class. It was built so the emerging bourgeois class could avoid Brussels’ more questionable neighborhoods. Today, the beautiful arcade is a busy thoroughfare through the city and accessible to all. Enjoy the ornate architecture, shop at the designer boutiques or dine at one of the popular bars and restaurants.
The arcade has more than 50 independent boutiques within its three double-story arcades. Visit the King’s Arcade for traditional, handmade leather goods, classic Belgian chocolatiers or artisan jewelers and glassmakers.
