Great awesome large house

Beautiful new house for a relaxing stay

A really beautiful home on the far western side of Galveston Island. Perfect for a nice relaxing stay in the area, with wonderful views onto the tidal Marah. A car is a near must as most activities and conveniences are a 20 minute drive at least.

Exactly What We Needed

Great House

beautiful home on quiet cul-de-sac. Kitchen has most of what you need (hopefully they will get a working can opener). We had our family Thanksgiving with 15 of us and had a great time. Two living areas and plenty of porches. Enjoyed watching the birds out kitchen window and back porch. Grandkids enjoyed riding their scooters when it wasn't raining as the street was very quiet. Beach is a short drive away. Enjoy this home as much as we did.

This place is AWESOME!

We had a wonderful visit. We are a group of 9 former college roommates who golf once per year in various locales. This was our best accommodations ever! Granted, it was much larger than necessary, but each of us had our own large bed. Five of us had gigantic rooms with a king sized bed and bathroom suite. The others shared a room each with a double bed (lower of a bunk bed). With couples and kids, this would very nicely accommodate 22. Even more with sleeping bags and pads in the giant walk-in closets. The house was clean and very well stocked with dishes, towels, etc... Also, Vacasa was very responsive with the few requests we had. The house is quite a bit west of the main part of Galveston in a serene and beautiful area. Also, try The Pointe restaurant. We all had a delicious meal there. Be aware that they close at 9 PM. Overall, I highly recommend this home.

Great location, but disappointing cleanliness and appliances

There were dead bugs in several rooms upstairs. Also, the drain in one of the bathrooms upstairs wasn't draining, so it was difficult to take a shower. The appliances didn't work, ie the oven, built in microwave, or stove. The stairs were filthy when we came into the house. The propane tank spare was empty and the other only half the propane, so we had to call someone to bring another tank. She was very prompt in bringing the tank, but yet another inconvenience. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the cleaning before we arrived, but more importantly some basic things made it a difficult place to stay. It is a good location, and the house itself has a good layout, but these issues definitely made it difficult to give a higher rating. Thanks

Spring Break 2024

We recently stayed at this vacation rental on spring break and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the property had not been properly maintained. The undergarments left in the laundry hamper were a major red flag and set the tone for the rest of our stay. One of the biggest issues we encountered was the lack of air conditioning upstairs. With temperatures reaching 75 degrees and 84% humidity, it was extremely uncomfortable and made sleeping nearly impossible. Additionally, the door upstairs did not latch, allowing bugs to freely enter our living space throughout the night. To add insult to injury, we were unable to enjoy the main porch for grilling and dining due to bee's nests. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the property management, nothing was done to address them during our stay. We felt completely ignored and disregarded. Overall, our experience at this vacation rental was extremely disappointing. I would highly advise future guests to beware of these shortcomings before booking a stay at this property.

DO NOT RENT THIS HOME! BUGS AND ROACHES IN HOME (DONT BELIEVE THE OWNERS)

Our recent stay at this property, initially promising due to its attractive exterior, was deeply disappointing. Within an hour of arrival, we encountered a constant influx of ants in the kitchen. Despite immediate notification to the management company, a 24-hour response resulted in no action. The following day, the ant infestation spread to a bedroom, impacting our belongings and bed. A subsequent request for assistance yielded only a store bought 16 ounce ant spray bottle spray solution by a local maintenance worker. The situation escalated further that evening when we discovered an infestation of large cockroaches throughout the living room and furniture, extending to the porches. With five families sharing the compromised space, a lack of alternative accommodation options left us feeling trapped and unable to enjoy our six-day vacation. The complete absence of follow-up communication from the management company after numerous attempts to reach them further highlights their disregard for customer well-being. I would tell any prospective renters to strongly consider alternative options to avoid a similar experience that could significantly impact their vacation. We still felt taken advantage of and completely ripped off considering the living conditions.

Great Stay!

The home was just what we needed for our large family group. The home is tucked back in a newer section of the development and for most of our stay we were completely alone. There were a few beach toys and chairs in the garage, and plenty of beach towels. We would definitely stay there again but there were a few things that could improve the experience. There was a nest of bees living in the roof of the lower level back deck. The propane tank for the grill was empty. There need to be a few more kitchen dish cloths and towels and at least a sponge with a textured surface for dishes. The upstairs master bath tub drain empties very very slowly. The dryer is frustratingly slow-it may not be vented properly. A medium sized load of laundry took 3 full runs to dry and even then was still damp. You’d be better off hanging everything outside to dry. The microwave also caused some of our party frustration. It was temperamental. The lockboxes need to be changed out. A binder with information about the home, the development and contact numbers would be helpful. A dry mop would be nice as the jute rugs shed fibers that clung to our feet. We definitely hope to return to the area in a few years and we will be checking to see if the Point West Bay Breeze Paradise is available.

Beautiful views and great location!

We had 18 people in the house and had We plenty of room. The views are amazing and amenities were perfection. We were able to utilize the Beach Club which made our trip!! We definitely recommend this house and would stay here again!

FABULOUS Home away from Home!

Our family of 16 could not have enjoyed more....what a fantastic home with all of the bells and whistles...views were beautiful and soooo peaceful! Would recommend to anyone...loved the resort area that was just a fun golf cart ride away for swimming and a few meals...beach area was perfect and not too busy! Bay Breeze gets a 10 from us! Thank you for being the best host as well.

Relaxing at Bay Breeze

Bay Breeze is a nice comfortable space. The house was very clean and spacious for our group of 10 people. If I had any complaint it would be the strong bug spray smell in the house but at least I know you sprayed trying to kill those pesty things. I’ve rented homes from Vacasa several times and have never been disappointed. Thank you for a nice vacation in Galveston.
