Great Location

Overall we were really pleased about this stay. The location is great and the house had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house was nice for a family. The only downside was that the vacuum didnt work to cleannup sand and some of the light switches didnt seem to work properly.

Summer Vacation

My husband, daughters, and I couldn’t have had a more enjoyable time! The living area and kitchen are spacious and well equipped for relaxing after a day at the beach. Had lots of fresh towels and the washer and dryer were handy. Beautiful outdoor area to sit and enjoy the mornings and evenings. Will definitely stay here again!

Communication from the time we rented through the app until the last day was excellent, very friendly and helpful, the property was very clean and comfortable. Things that are beyond the structural that made us love it, which is that we could walk to the beach, have coffee in the morning on the porch, the view is beautiful, definitely pet friendly, they were able to run around downstairs while we spent time with the family, these are things that we value a lot, we will definitely be back next summer😊

4 generations getaway

The house was clean, hot water was hot and the A/C was cold! The house needs a few things fixed up, but nothing that you can’t work around, (tub faucet, exterior lighting, railings loose, blinds) and if you have toddlers, there is no where for them to eat, no table and bar stools don’t work! (Ages from 74 - 1) The house listed that they had beach chairs which we didn’t find, but we made do! Hopefully they will work on the upkeep of the house!

Christmas gathering

This was our first time renting a home and we are very please. We needed space and the house was perfect for our adult children and grandchildren. Perfect location, short walk to the beach, store nearby and only 8 min to the seawall. We definitely need to rent the house in the summer time. Wish check in wasn’t so late, 4 pm is not even a full day, but we made the best of it. We did have an issue with the bathroom, toilet leak so 8 adults and 2 kids had to use one bathroom, but other than that we loved the house, beautiful, clean and plenty of space in every room including kitchen and living room.

Galveston get away

Love the location of the house and the convenience of the beach. The owner was very responsive and the rates were great. We had 8 adults and one toddler. The house has plenty of beds but the top bunks are not sturdy enough for adults. Overall it was a great experience but there are some basic maintenance items that could be addressed: Disposal smells of dead fish as soon as you turn the water on. The lights flicker in the secondary bathroom when water is running. The ice maker leaks into the refrigerator and creates standing water on the food. Linens and pillows need to be replaced due to use The bathrooms need to be cleaned better

Jamica Beach Stay

Overall the property was fine. The owners were great to work with and very responsive. The beds were good to sleep in, but one room was on the ground level and they are twin bunk beds. The fenced yard was nice too. The place has a nice family-TV area to entertain in and includes TV and other streaming hookups. The location was close to the beach and quiet. A couple of things to consider: The property was older than what you see online. It needed a deep clean. There was a cost to use the community pool. The deck needs some work (nails were sticking up on the floor boards and you need shoes to walk around.). The kitchen sink needs repair. Overall a fair price for the amenities and location. We enjoyed our time.

Love Jamaica Beach

We love everything about Jamaica Beach. This area is hands down our favorite area to visit. Russell the management contact was phenomenal. He was super responsive and made the entire process streee-free. About the house, it is a super cute house in a great location. The pictures online are a bit deceiving. The interior is a little rundown but was overall clean. Our biggest issues was the couch. It had an awful smell and we sprayed it with Febreeze daily but it did not help. I know the home allows pets and you can expect pet smells but the couch could be replaced. Also, there is a picture on the listing of beach chairs and these do not come with the house, you can rent them though! There is also a picture of a table on the upstairs deck which was not there when we stayed. We had the best week and made awesome memories.

Poor property management

When we arrived, the house was filthy. All beds were unmade and towels were lying on the floor. The dishes were all over the counter and the trash was full. We cleaned up the house, swept, did a load of towels in the wash, piled all dirty blankets by the door, and waited (almost 2 hours) for the cleaners who came after we had notified the management that the house was not cleaned. Water faucets on the showers do not work properly, so the water is either super hot or ice cold. On the plus side, it’s really close to the beach. No amount of refund was offered for time lost nor the fact that we cleaned the place ourselves. Would definitely choose a property that is managed by someone else.
