Great location

Location and access to beach is fantastic. Quiet, few people. The house was nice. The only downside is the air return is in the downstairs bedroom with the bunk beds and if you close the door it is very loud. So you either have to keep the door open (not ideal for kiddos at bedtime) or just don’t use that bedroom. Otherwise, the house was comfortable and everything worked.

Nice family getaway

Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway with young kids. The proximity to the beach, and having the small soaking tub in the backyard was perfect for our 3 and 5 year old.

Beach with a Pool

Pool for kids was a hit. Sleeping arrangements worked out for our families, each family had a room of their own. Would of prefer a larger coffee pot as we are all coffee drinkers. Couldn't find spatial for cooking. Other than that, everyone enjoyed the stay.

Perfect spot in Galveston

This was by far my favorite trip to Galveston. The owner was super easy to talk to and he was very accommodating. The house is in the best location. It housed our party of 10 comfortably. The pool and fire pit really set this property over the top!

Beautiful home

The house was perfect for my family. Living room was large enough for all of us to late night board games. Kitchen was great. I cooked dinner 3 of the nights and had plenty of prep and cooking space. My only criticism would be the room with the 4 beds was configured pretty tight. Leaving it hard to get to the closet. Other than that had the most beautiful views and perfect walking distance to the beach. Highly recommend.

Beach Getaway

Beach house is in a great location and accurate to the photos of the property. Went with wife and kids to get away from work and the everyday routine. Couldn't have picked a better week to enjoy the warmer weather and sunshine. Couple of comments for the property manager is to ensure windows get cleaned before the next guests arrive. Allow thermostat to be lowered a few extra degrees, as rooms are not being cooled equally and upstairs got a bit hot. Both upstairs showers leak badly from the bottom of shower door. Roach traps need to be placed discreetly around the kitchen and living room. Overall we enjoyed our stay and our boys loved the pool and easy beach access. Thanks!

Almost perfect

A really nice house, if somewhat neglected. A fabulous location, and great sleeping accommodations. It was well stocked and had a firepit and pool. Sadly, the weather didn't cooperate enough for the pool. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars was it was badly in need of some maintenance and a little lacking in cleaning. With that it would be just the perfect spot for a family beach vaca. We enjoyed our stay, but couldn't help feeling like it could be so much more with just a little more attention.

Family vacation

There was an issue with the original house we selected so this was a sub house. It was great & better than expected. Very nice! Lots of rooms and plenty of bathrooms.

Perfect Beach Weekend

My son and daughter-in-law got married on the beach. We rented this home and our other family rented the one next door. It was a perfect intimate weekend with family and the house was perfect for our large group. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms made for ease of everyone getting ready. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other places we’ve stayed but cooking wasn’t really in our plans. Would love to stay here again.

Hidden gem from away crowds

This beautiful home lies about fifteen minutes from Galveston but directly on the beach. It’s too bad the kids didn’t realize there would be no seashells. It did have an above ground pool and deck which was great for us. The water was calm. Overall this would be a great place for you to stay for the night. Enjoy yòur stay! I will booing fit again

Fabulous friends getaway

We had 7 adults and the property was a perfect size for us. The beds in every room were comfortable and each bedroom had a bathroom. We could all get together with plenty of room on the deck, in the kitchen and dining area and in the living space. It was easy to get to the beach and we loved the pool. It was a wonderful weekend. Owner communication was great. *Note: the kitchen is adequately stocked with dishes and appliances but bring your own ice, salt/pepper, condiments, etc. There is some sheetrock damage and damage to the wooden bridge; I assume that is due to the recent hurricane.

Ladies Trip

View of Gulf was great. Very private beach. House was comfortable and clean. Better suited for large groups. Many beds but no nightstands or much room to move around in bedrooms other than master. Bring your own beach chairs as none Provided by house. Most restaurants and larger grocery stores are at least 20 mins away. Suggest a light be put at bottom of stairs where lockbox is. Difficult to see at night. Otherwise very relaxing trip.

Great getaway on a remote spot outside of galveston

Had low expectations for this vacation spot because a hurricane had ripped through Houston just a few weeks earlier. turned out to be a perfect spot for a week getaway with a family of 6 adults and 3 children under 10! Beautiful oceanfront property, as described! Kids loved the pool. Affordable. About 25 min away from Galveston restaurants, Walmart, Kroger. Otherwise not much nearby- a great quiet getaway. Each room has a bathroom, it was clean and pretty. There was some drywall that had gone up to repair issues after the storm- didn’t bother us too much. Downside are the flies and mosquitoes - bring bug spray!

Great communication

We planned on staying here for our mini overnight vacation. When we got to Galveston they informed us that this particular property wouldn't be ready for us and instead were offered another property on Jamaica beach which worked great in the long run. I appreciate the communication and we understand things can happen beyond our control. We got a beautiful house on the beach still and my daughter who has never been got to have a once in a lifetime mini vacation.

Perfect for our large family!

Perfect for our family. We had 4 adults and 7 young kids. The pool had a safety gate and nice deck around it. Beautiful view of the ocean off the master bedroom and large deck. Short walk to the beach. Easy to pull a wagon full of toys, chairs, coolers. We saw dolphins off the coast right near where we were swimming one morning. A little bit of a drive to town to eat. But we only did the once, cooked at the house the rest of the time. The nice thing about the location is that it’s fairly far from town so not busy on the beach at all.Owner was responsive and helpful. We’ve stayed at different houses each year for 6 years. This was one of our favorites! Hoping to book it again next year!

overall ok

maintenance problems throughout - lock box for entrance did not work / corroded; main oven did not work, floor on main floor sandy/ dirty upon our arrival. Wish the elevator was available; hauling all our food / beverages and suitcases up the stairs proved exhausting because we are over 70 years old. But overall we ignored the problems and enjoyed our stay - great neighborhood and entrance to the beach

Trying Time at the Beach

The location was great but it ends there! The AC was awful, did not cool! It felt better being outside than inside…it’s July in Galveston Texas!!! Five bedrooms and bathrooms with one AC u it that DID NOT cool! Cockroaches the size of your feet! The couch was very uncomfortable! We go to Florida or Galveston every summer and have stayed in alot of beach houses and this was by far the worst! The refrigerator was not the best for storage and the ice machine did not work! The owners obviously do not care about their clients because for the price of staying at this house, they could easily buy two new couches, replace the AC units and maybe add another one and remodel the bathrooms that were very small but had broken tiles everywhere. We called for service on AC units and were totally blown off! I would not recommend this house to anyone unless the owners step up and put some love into this house! The blinds on the windows were broken and in bad shape! I am sorry to sound so negative but I would consider staying somewhere else!

Do not recommend

The pictures look a lot nicer than the house. The carpet and furniture was stained and worn. Water was leaking from one of the downstairs showers onto the floor and the tile was cracked because the floor is sagging. There was blue masking tape covering the cracks. The drain from the other downstairs shower smells really bad. There is a shower curtain in the shower upstairs that was put up after the glass door broke. I was embarrassed to have my in-laws in this house with us. The lights and fan weren’t working in the living room when we arrived. The electrician fixed it by bypassing a badly damaged segment of wires which doesn’t inspire confidence. When the AC would kick on, the lights in the house would dim. Box fans were required to make the temperature tolerable. There was a roach/insect problem. This is not a luxury listing despite the high price. The location was great as advertised. We basically had the beach to ourselves. When I informed the management company of my concerns, they blew me off and let me know they’d pass it on to the owner. I do not recommend this place for the price. I would not stay here again.
