Nice place

House served its purpose. A/C worked well and the decks are great. We didn’t try the cowboy pool. Caught a few catfish which was nice. The spiral case/ladder is not for elderly or have bad knees if you want access to top 2 queen rooms. Overall nice place for a economy stay.

Cowboy soaking pool is cool, porch deck area is very nice for views, outside nice for fishing and grilling, spiral staircase was steep but very cool, WIFI and TV was nice for before bed, firepit and game room were a nice touch. outdoor shower nice for after beach

this place is like an outdoor oasis! cowboy soaking pool, outdoor shower, deck, boat dock/fishing area! The house is comfortable and clean and the the area felt nice and safe for us. highly recommend

The ultimate chill spot in Jamaica Beach!! The deck area here is awesome—sprawls out over the water like it’s beggin’ you to lounge, grill, or fish while you wait for dinner or whatever, lol! I love the outdoors so that was the highlight for me with the fire pit and all. Bunk room downstairs was nice for some separation too!

the crab shack was cute

we had a short stay here, but our time was well spent. the fact that this house is on the bay/water and has a cowboy pool was awesome. the spiral staircase off the living room is adorable. the deck has plenty of seating to relax outside and just look at the water. clean and easy to get in to. thanks again

Property in need of Bathroom Maintenance

Overall the property is as described on Vrbo, however it is in need of maintenance in the main bathroom on 1st floor. The shower handle was not movable to the on position. When trying to apply force to twist it to the "on" position the whole assembly felt so fragile, we were afraid of breaking the whole unit. We had to resort to showering in the downstairs mud room. This meant taking all our shower belongings and change of clothes down the narrow, outdoor stairs. The mud room shower is very, small similar to an RV shower stall. This was not convenient for our stay! Also, the refrigerator needs to be replaced! It does not cool or freeze appropriately. We had food quickly go bad in our short stay, and we weren't able to make use of the freezer at all. The outdoor amenities need maintenance. We tripped several times on wooden boards that are warped, and higher than others. Several of the Adirondack chairs are broken, and in disrepair. Other than those maintenance items above, the property is very, accommodating and in a nice canal housing community.

Not up to expectations

This property did not meet our expectations. Unlike the listing, there were only three bedrooms, as the fourth had been turned into a foosball room. This would have worked for our needs, but in the third bedroom they had replaced the bed pictured with a foam mattress on the floor, which was difficult for adults to use. The bunkbeds in the same room had a visibly damaged frame and did not seem safe to use. One bathroom was difficult for most of our party to use due to the lack of legroom between the toilet and the counter. Only one bathroom had a shower and the outdoor shower was viewable from our deck and the decks of neighbors so it was unusable as well. The wifi was not working when we checked in and the owners tried to troubleshoot over chat. They were unable to resolve the issue, nor did they agree to our request for a credit for the inconvenience. I had to drive 20 minutes away to finish my work rather than work from the house as expected.
