We LOVE the Benbow Inn. It is a unique and cherished inn that my family has visited for over 75 years. The staff are friendly (one even played the piano while I was reading in the main room), and the grounds and building are extraordinary, beautiful, and of a bygone era. Also, not to be missed: scones and tea at 3:00!

We loved this historic hotel. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The front desk staff were super helpful and the morning tea in the bar hit the spot for us. We will defitnitely stay here again.

The property is historic, so the HVAC system is dated and a little noisy. There is a pool but it’s not in close proximity to the hotel. The restaurant food and environment was very good, however a little pricey. Overall a good place to stay, the bed was comfortable and I slept well.

The Historic inn is amazing place that represents a long bygone era and you can tell the ownership tries to keep it up. The rooms are very clean but the condition is a bit shabby. Things like water damage on the ceiling sheet rock, missing trim rings on sprinklers and old uncomfortable innerspring matress with squeaky springs. I know price is a relevant thing, especially to the area, and this was by far the nicest place within miles but the room was not worth the $500+ per night paid.

Charming hotel, staff wee great. Restaurant was understaffed for July 4th but they were able to accomodate us. Highly recommend it but please make sure you have a dinner reservation on busy days. Also, the bar and restaurant have beautiful patios on both sides but they both close at 9pm. There is nothing nearby. Suggestion for management - maybe consider staying open later?

Beautiful setting. Classic. Food is wonderful. Staff always very helpful but they could have staffed a bit differently to be sure there was always a person close by. Need to beef up gift shop. It’s the Inns 100th birthday and not a piece of clothing, hat or gift to commemorate this landmark. How about Winston teddy bears? Truly loved our stay.

An interesting property in a lovely setting by the south fork of the Eel River. The mushroom tacos I got at the bar were very tasty. French toast waffles for breakfast were a novelty.

Was charged extra taxes 92.00 after check out?, request a statement . Gave us a basic room stated it was expedia fault for giving a lesser room and over charging. Showed them printed receipt from expedia, they changed the room but couch was water stained and smelled awful and stated that is all they had, bar staff was hard to get service. Never again

Nice nostalgic room, clean, good bed. Bathroom was smaller but ok. Grounds were beautiful. Large outdoor patio. No free breakfast but restaurant had very good food. Free parking with handicap spaces. Also had an elavator. This was a historic property and very beautiful inside
