I've rented through VRBO many times in the past and have never experienced such thorough details in advance and such a warm welcome upon arrival. “This was an awesome stay! The location is PERFECT. We were minutes away from multiple beaches, tide pools, beautiful rivers, farmers markets and those amazing redwoods! It was fun exploring Eureka, Arcata and Trinidad. The home was beautiful. It was just where we needed to unwind after a day of hiking and playing by the ocean. “One of the most adorable VRBO's we've ever rented! We loved the decor, the space was perfect for our family of 4, and it had everything we needed and more! Getting to feed the animals + the delicious eggs (we had eggs every morning) were wonderful bonuses. And location was great to explore the Redwoods.”

“This property is amazing, just perfect! My family and I were in town for a family wedding, and this place gave us plenty of room to spread out. The decorations are so cute, it is so warm and inviting. The outside property is gorgeous, we even had a mama deer and her baby come and eat the grass outside every morning. It was so fun to watch them! If I am ever back in this area again, I would definitely rent this property. I cannot recommend it highly enough.”

“Very clean, very nice, cute cottage in Eureka. Plenty of room for 4 of us. Had some concerns, hearing that the area was in a bit of a downturn and that there are some questionable ares of the city. But this house was in a nice residential, clean area. We spent our 2 days there traveling to the redwood forests, so we were gone most of the time. What we did see of the town was nice. There were a couple of run-down areas and some questionable folks hanging around there, but most cities have this as……

“I injured my knee the evening before I was to drive up to King Salmon, so was unable to enjoy Shell Cottage, and too late for any refund! I had stayed previously however, and it was lovely; hence my desire to return.”

“The host was gracious! She sent us home with goodies fresh from her beautiful garden. Very private setting. The hot tub was clean and private, bed was comfy, in room sauna was great. ”

“Great location. The cabin is next to some other cabins, not sure if they’re rentals, or other people who live on the property. So it wasn’t quite as private as I was anticipating. But over all it was a great place to stay for a few days. It might be a little tricky to find if you arrive after dark.”
