“Unacceptable Standards for a Wyndham Property – Incredibly Disappointing Stay As someone who runs a fine hotel right here in Newport, RI, I rarely leave negative reviews, but I have never felt so uncomfortable and overwhelmed during a stay. Front Desk Service: The front desk agent was passive-aggressive. While she did eventually waive a fee, her attitude was entirely unprofessional. In this industry, you honor the guest's request gracefully and flag it for management—you don't make the guest……

“Amazing property , close to stores and boardwalk!”

“The property was dirty and smelled horrible and the sink was broken leaking water all over bathroom horrible place I won’t stay here even if they offer free rooms disgusting place”

“The room was dirty when we got there. We ask for clean sheets we waited almost an hour for them. Then we put them on ourselves. The room stunk when we got there so we cleaned it ourselves as much as we could. The only staff member that was helpful was Shelly. She was great.”

“The room was like it hasn’t been updated since the ‘50s. The towels were stained and the soaps (2) were very, very tiny, barely enough for a shower, and no shampoo. The tub and toilet are very old. If my wife and I weren’t so tired when we checked in I would have asked for another room, but I think it wouldn’t have made a difference. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.”

“My family and I love staying here! The rooms are always clean. The staff and their kids are very kind and friendly. The distance from room to the boardwalk/beach is about a 3min walk with kids..super close..the pool was clean and fun for days we didnt go to beach. High recommend…”

“Place sucked! No lobby, food, ice, and frig didn't work. But the worst thing of all was when you opened the door it hit you like a ton of bricks.....SMOKING room, nasty! Had to use industrial strength air freshener but that really didn't help, can still smell and taste that cigarette!”

“This hotel was pretty run down on the outside, but the room was clean. For a place to sleep and shower for a night or two it was fine and in a great location. Air conditioner made a weird noise at times but it did work.”
