Great place to stay unfortunately out of five adults we couldn’t figure out how to use the TVs and there were no instructions. It seemed as though you needed a username and password for subscriptions to services you had at home in an effort to use the TVs. That was Frustrating but great location enjoyed ourselves and saw a few bears Yeay!!

Perfect place to stay!

Our first time visiting the Smoky Mountains and this property was perfect! Very clean, well maintained and thoughtfully furnished. Had everything we needed. Stunning views of the mountains!

Adorable Cabin with a spectacular view

Will definitely stay here next time!! 100% worth the windy mountain roads for a million dollar view. House had everything well stocked, clean, and helpful info!

Best view of Smoky Mountains

This house has a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains. We loved spending the mornings and evenings on the deck and in the hothub. The kids loved the pool and we all loved the games provided to play. Amazing place to just stay and enjoy nature.

home away from home

this property was breathtaking! such an incredibly cool house on the top of a mountain. It had the most amazing views!! The owners made this place feel like home with the beautiful fall decorations!! Our family was incredibly impressed!

Best View - top of the mountain!

When I say I searched for the best view, I searched! My family teased me once we arrived because the Chalet was quite literally at the very top of the mountain which in turn, gave the absolute best views. The home was clean, beautiful and well stocked for our stay.

Best view in Gatlinburg

Best view in Gatlinburg, pictures don't do it justice. Property is as described, clean, close to everything, well equipped. Be ready with camera to get pictures of the bears, seen one everyday. Best view of mountain that we have ever stayed at. Can't wait to stay again

The pics dont do justice for the views!

This place is wonderful! The sunrises each morning were breathtakingly beautiful. We could see fireworks shows for as far as the eye can see, including Dollywood's drone show. If i could rate higher than 5 stars i would. Its located on a cul de sac at the very top, leaving unobstructed views and wildlife encounters.

Wonderful Views

We loved this rental with beautiful views from the deck you are literally at the very top of the mountain. So peaceful and so easy to find with such an easy check in!! Would rent again in a heartbeat! Also loved the decor, such a homey feeling. We got lucky and it snowed while we were there it was definitely a winter wonderland. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed.

Perfect GetAway

If you are headed to the mountains to explore Gatlinburg and hike the Smokies, this rental is not for you. The property is so welcoming with perfect vistas viewed from a cozy hot tub that you will never want to leave. Definitely a home away from home, I would spend every vacation here. Well equipped kitchen, 36 bear representations in the living area alone and comfortable beds. Count yourself lucky to book this property.

Sunrises! Bears! Hot tubs! Oh My!

We had a wonderful time at Haus of the Rising Sun! The kitchen was well-equipped, the house had great furniture, and the hosts very thoughtfully left a huge binder of suggestions and tips! We were excited to see bears from the deck and on the roads nearby, as well as hummingbirds, cardinals, bunnies, deer, and other forest creatures!. The sunrise was stunning in all weather - and we took full advantage of the grill and the hot tub after hiking. A perfect location for our group of friends!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! This cabin was very clean, which is what I always look for in previous reviews as it is a big deal to me. It did not disappoint! There were plenty of towels and the kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was easy to operate and worked great. There were board games to play, which we always appreciate having. And let’s talk about the view! 🤩 we love staying up in the clouds on our visits to the smokies and this view was one of the best we’ve had! We would definitely love to stay again!

Perfect stay atop the mountains!

This property is simply perfect! My family is still talking about it days later and wishing we were still there. We felt so comfortable and at home, with all the amenities we could ask for (a personal favorite; a lot of clean towels and washcloths, which is rare to find)! It was incredibly clean, smelled wonderful, and had the most beautiful view - morning and evening. Like a small slice of heaven! On top of all of this, Suzanne responded to a question I emailed within minutes, and then called to make sure I was able to figure it out - she is the kindest host I’ve encountered yet! We had a wonderful stay and are so thankful for the memories created here!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS

This house has the most beautiful views of the Smokey Mountains, hands down! From the cleanness of the house, the decor, hot tub and to the customer experience we have had from this house we couldn’t expect anything better. This place made our vacation. And all 3 days from 6 am we met the family of bears. Real bears walking from balcony to the Main Street. This was GOALS! 🐻🐻 Close to downtown, attractions, fabulous meals, the Ober tram with unforgettable views, everything was Mesmerizing and memorable! THANK YOU Suzanne and the Haus of the rising sun ☀️ We will be back!

OMG!! The Views Are OUTSTANDING!!

This place is amazing. My mom is older and needed one level living. She got the downstairs master and only had the two steps into the front door which was great. The views are amazing. The best part - when we walked in for our Thanksgiving trip the place was already decorated for Christmas and there was an air freshener that smelled just like Christmas and it was so welcoming. We did not use the hot tub but it is very big. It has a separate living are upstairs that's great for 2 separate couples or even give the kids their own area. The views off the deck are the best. But then go upstairs and they are even better. Fully stocked, very comfortable with a wood-burning fireplace. It was the best place I've stayed in the almost 50 years I've been coming here. The owner is amazing too. Very responsive! This house has the highest deck in the subdivision and the best views.
