Cheap and close to the beach. Garbage area very close to some of the rooms. Bare close early at 10pm.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mad Monkey Hostel Siargao and I must say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff who were always willing to help. The hostel itself is located in a prime spot, just a short walk away from the famous Cloud 9 surf break and other popular spots on the island. The common areas are spacious and well-designed, with plenty of spaces for guests to relax and socialize in. The dorm rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and individual lockers for each guest. I also appreciated the fact that there were curtains on each bed for added privacy. One of the highlights of my stay at Mad Monkey was the daily activities organized by the hostel. From surfing lessons to island hopping tours, there was always something fun and exciting to do. The staff were also very knowledgeable about the island and its attractions, and were happy to provide recommendations and tips. The on-site bar and restaurant were also a great addition, serving up delicious food and drinks at affordable prices. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. But what really sets Mad Monkey apart from other hostels is the amazing atmosphere. The Mad Monkey Family (Adi, Pam, Dredd, Generose, King, and all the staffs) and guests were all so welcoming and friendly, creating a sense of community that made me feel right at home. Very unhealthy and unsanitary conditions. Really bad smells inside the rooms. You’ll leave with a very bad cough for a few days if you stay here guaranteed

Moldy smelling and unhealthy conditions

Very horrible odors inside the rooms. It smells like moldy paint and even more mold. It smells like they painted over the mold and it’s very unhealthy. You’ll leave that place with a cough for a few days. Very unhealthy very unsanitary.
