Misleading Listing and Poor Conditions-Not worth the money
Our experience at this property was extremely disappointing. The listing was misleading. Advertised having 10 bedrooms, but there were only 7. It claimed to sleep up to 25 guests — had 19 beds. Several mattresses had visible springs poking through, and some bunks had shredded bottoms that hung into the space below. One cabin was musty and unusable, with a dirty wet mop left inside. The refrigerator was dirty and all the kitchenware had to be washed before we could use it. The floors in the main house were filthy — wiping up a water spill with paper towels turned the towels black. Couches were stained. The kitchen was far too small to support a large group, and the oven barely worked (our attempt to bake brownies failed entirely). There weren’t enough kitchen supplies to accommodate our group. The separate building that had picnic tables was without water or a sink, all dishes had to be carried across a parking lot to galley kitchen. Only two of the buildings had bathrooms. Had to walk a dark path to bathhouse, which smelled strongly of urine, mildewed shower curtains, requiring leaving the door open and run a fan. Owner lives next door but is not responsive to concerns, told us to call Vibe management who took over 24hrs to respond and didn’t fix all concerns. Spotty WiFi, unsafe electric outlets, not waterfront as advertised, camp on steep slope as is dock across street, lake unswimmable-seaweed and algae. Guest got poison ivy and another tripped over water pipe at night.
