Great place!

This house was perfectly located and had plenty of space! It wasn’t as well furnished with toiletries as I’m used to in other homes but there are plenty of places nearby to pickup what you need. It was clean with more than enough comfortable beds to choose from.

This house was exactly what we needed.

Although COVID reduced our group size from 14 to 4 this house was exactly what we would have needed. It was well maintained and very cozy. Exactly what we expected based in the online listing. We look forward to staying here again next year to do some wine tasting again!

Geneva Ladies

The size, location and convenience was perfect for our group of 8 retired ladies. Though the decor is “vintage” , we were quite comfortable, and had everything we needed. The only issues were with the TV, which we could not figure out and there were no instructions. The online description stated basic cable, that didn’t seem to be the case and since it wasn’t an emergency we couldn’t speak to someone until the next day. We also had some issues warming up the lower level, but got that figured out. All in all we would love to stay again.

July 2017 Stay

Three generations of family of 13 people ages 75 to 1.5 years. overall it was a nice time with family. pros. lots of rooms - huge yard - canoe - dock was nice - kitchen large and open - downstairs extra refrigerator and sitting room. - location with wineries - train only came once or twice a day. cons. cleaning staff was not even close to be done cleaning at check in. she asked if we wanted the house cleaned or mopped still. we said of course but asked when she would be done. she said we would have to call the management to get help. seh could not do it. we called for more staff and they sent two more people. they finished two hours late and some areas seemed like it needed more cleaning...bathrooms - dock could use solar lights if allowed for night activities. - new paint smell in downstairs rooms. - air circulation was not fantastic with warmer temps - tubs need to be cleaned and drains were very slow. - interior was dated overall we would not use this house or rental agency again.

Great Location With Tons Of Space

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. It houses a ton of people and there is plenty of room. The only issue was with the main kitchen faucet (it was very loose), but usable. And for the amount of money spent for 'cleanup' costs, the fans and some other areas were pretty dusty. It would stop us from going again...just would expect management to make sure cleaning crew does their job (especially when the cost is put on the consumer).

The Jacuzzi tubs Jets blew out brown chunks, and leaked into the downstairs bedroom closet. A lot of damage to the property when we got there and the snow removal wasn’t done on the porches.

Convenient home near Belhurst Castle

very pleased with property...all necessary appliances, utensils and linens were made available. would like to advise that the top rack of dishwasher was broken when we arrived.

2 comforters dirty, trash was limited, no propane for grill.

Downstairs breaker tripped when keurig was used. We paid to have trash taken away because can was full from last week. We brought end of week trash home so the next group at least has a can to use. If you have questions please call 717-497-5654.

Great week!

This was a great choice for us, as we wanted a safe place to all get together during COVID. Check in was a breeze with the keyless system. The house was immaculate... not one dust bunny was on any of our Lysol wipes when we wiped everything down upon arrival! Our clean linens were shrink wrapped so felt comfortable using theirs...The musty lower level smell mentioned in other reviews was not a problem, as the management company had put a dehumidifier down there. We emptied it daily and that worked fine... easy fix! Kitchen was well stocked. Loved our own dock with the two Adirondack chairs, and also a nice big tree down there for those who wanted shade. Easy to pull a boat in if you have one or rented one. Only real down side is that we had to cross over a railroad track to get to dock, which we had no problem with since none of us have mobility issues but it would be difficult for older people, impossible for strollers etc. The back yard was huge and pretty level, so can do corn holes or badminton etc and the fire pit was great for evening campfires under the stars. We enjoyed nearby wineries, golf courses and a great bike trail In Geneva along the lake. Deck was great for sunrises. House could definitely use a new grill, as the one large one there is out of order. The small one worked fine but was difficult for us to make a lot of food at once... and the house sleeps 16 so should have a bigger grill available. Blender was tiny and should also be replaced. All in all though a great house and a great location! A much enjoyed family get together...

Difficult water access and moldy lower floor

Could not use the lower four bedrooms and kitchen due to heavy smelling of mildew and mold. We had to keep the first floor windows open to stay in the home. Water access over active rail line not much fun and boat dock had no rubber bumpers and was very high as the lake water was down 6 inches from normal.

Lake Orchard

We had a nice time in Geneva. The house has some major pipe noise issues. Every night we all struggled to sleep soundly because of the noise. Placement of the bedrooms was great. Someone might want to lower the heat of the water, a few of us got scalded by it the first time we showered. The kitchen was great. We had a big hassle with the internet. Spent two whole days trying to get it fixed, not easy when you have a businesswoman who had a payroll due and two small children wanting to watch TV. The repair guy was amazing! We tipped him for all his hard work. The bed in the master bedroom collapsed on our son when he sat on the edge, and again, your repair guy was amazing - he said it looked like it had been worked on before.

Great Place!

Our group of 9 adults really enjoyed staying here! The house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as two large living rooms we could all hang out in. The dock was great for taking in the sunset and the fire pit was used both nights. The basement level does smell a bit musty, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle. The location was perfect for running a quick trip to the grocery store, as well as a day out wine tasting. We all agreed we'd stay here again!

Great for large groups!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was so nice to have so many bedrooms and so much extra space. The kids loved the dock and swimming in the lake, and the guys loved the fishing! Thank you for providing us a wonderful family home for our vacation!

Wonderful property. Our party consisted of 9 mom's here for our 16th annual girl's weekend. This house provided the perfect place, they had everything we never knew we needed! We are used to bringing everything and it was a pleasant surprise when the property provided the necessities. It was very clean upon arrival and having sheets and towels being provided was great. This house is set up to easily accommodate 4 families. We had more than enough space. unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to enjoy the property outside. We had a great time and definitely plan to return next year. We highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area.
