“Having sent a number of emails enquiring about an early check-in without response, we arrived at 11:30am, exhausted after an overnight flight, and were told, by the miserable receptionist, that we should have booked the room for the day before if we wanted an early check-in (@£200+!!). We were not even offered a glass of water or somewhere to freshen up. Not the kind of welcome I would expect from a “top” hotel. As such we, sat and waited in the reception area where I promptly fell asleep. Oh……
