Holiday home in Gozo with private pool, quiet location & family friendly

Dar ta’ Betta is situated in the village of Gharb and located in an alley just off the main piazza. This house is ideal for a 4 persons, it offers 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom both with ensuite shower rooms. A cosy living area with wood burning fireplace leads onto an equipped kitchen/dining and pool area with sun loungers and BBQ area. Traditional furnishings have been used throughout adding to the character and rustic charm which has been carefully converted into a wonderful holiday home.

Dar ta’ Betta sits along-side Dar ta’ Mansi and an inter-connecting door in the garden gives the added advantage of renting both out together, accommodating 8 persons in four independent bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms.

We provide sheets and towels for your stay, also a weekly maid service. Toiletries are not provided as we offer self-catering accommodation. Clients have the choice to use the added amenity of our coin-operated ACs. There is a grocery store located close by for all your basic needs.

If you are travelling from abroad we can organise car or bicycle hire to be delivered to the house on arrival and airport transfers to and from Gozo. Please inform us at time of booking if you would like us to help you with your travel arrangements

Gozo Luxury

A very spacious and comfortable two level, two bed and bathroom townhouse with restaurants a walk or short drive away. Free street parking was easy to find, and the area was very quiet, as the house is about 50 meters away from the street. The pool felt great at the end of a day of sightseeing. Victoria was an easy 10 minute drive away for even more restaurants and things to see.We'd stay here again.

Lovely house, dodgy parking

The house was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. However one small and rather thin shower towel per person was not really enough. I imagine in the summer extra towels for the pool would be needed too. Parking could be tricky and prior information about this would have been helpful.

La maison est située au centre du village à côté d‘un petit magasin et de plusieurs restaurants. Le calme de la campagne nous a fait le plus grand bon bien. Et quel plaisir de se lever et de plonger dans la piscine! L’extérieur est très agréable et à l‘ombre en fin d’après-midi. Ce qui n‘est pas négligeable avec les fortes chaleurs en été. Par contre la piscine n‘est pas sécurisée. Pour les déplacements il y a un arrêt de bus à 20 mètres. Le bus passe toutes les heures et est toujours à l’heure. Mais pour plus de facilité nous avons préféré louer une voiture pour la deuxième semaine de nos vacances. Attention car ils roulent à gauche comme en Angleterre. Gozo est plein de surprises et sa population très accueillante. Les plages sont pour la plus part plutôt petites mais l’eau y est si claire qu’avec de simple lunettes de plonger, nous avons pu observer des centaines de poisson. Fabuleux.

Delightful cottage with pool

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dar ta'Betta which is conveniently situated for restaurants, buses and shops in Gharb. The interior is lovely and cool and nicely decorated. The courtyard and pool is gorgeous and we spent quite a few hours in and out of the pool. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

Pleasant stay

The house was well presented, clean and tidy. Nothing major but there were a couple of issues. There is no washing machine but you are only supplied with one towel for the whole week. Small issue, but there wasn't a chopping board. Towels for the pool would be handy. Information for the local town and surrounding area should be provided. We arrived for fiesta week and information regarding this would have been useful, if not just to forewarn us about the road closure and the cannon fire! We also, only found out that a bus ticket was valid for 2 hours through an overheard conversation. But, after the above moans are out of the way , it was a lovely house to stay in. The pool was checked every alternate day and was a welcome addition. The air conditioning was a godsend and didn't cost that much to run. The village was lovely with 2 reasonable grocery stores and various places to eat. The bus service was outstanding and made travelling around Gozo so easy. Would recommend this house and area for a relaxing holiday.

- wonderful farmhouse -

We had a wonderful time in our farmhouse. Everything we needed was there. A restaurant, (free) parking, the bus stop and a shop are just around the corner. Gharb is pretty. Thank you so much! We come again!!

All in all, a very pleasant experience

My wife and I spent 4 nights in May. The house is extremely charming, quiet and comfortable with quality beds, kitchen and other amenities. The house is located some meters just off the Gharb village road via a small dead-end road. The town square, church cathedral, restaurants and a little market are a short walk. The Gozo Escape people arranged a rental car and transportation from/to the ferry to Malta.
