I had to email in order to get my check in information the day of. The listing was misleading regarding the laundry. There was no in unit laundry. There was no wifi for the unit and the lodge wifi was incredibly slow (other units had dedicated wifi). The advertised listing for the coffee maker was a Keurig and a standard pot was in the unit. This didn't matter other than I would've packed different coffee. There was no TV in the master (also noted in the listing). Overall the unit was fine but was just missing several things for the listing. The host never responded to the wifi inquiry.

Great vacation

Super location, we took the grandkids for a weekend of skiing and tubing. Clean and comfortable stay and will keep the contact in my phone for our future trips.. wonderful owner and very quick to respond, very accommodating. Do yourself a favor and book!!!

Great location! We rented two condos for my adult children and their spouses. Would have liked ground floor but it was very nice and easy to get to the slopes.

Unbeatable Location, Some Things Need Repair

The location and ease of ski-in/ski-out can't be beat at Winterplace...so convenient! However, the property has some things in need of repair that weren't mentioned in the listing: fireplace, dryer for mittens and socks, a tv, dresser drawers, door that wouldn't shut, toilet, etc. Overall, the location made it worth it for us, but the multiple items in need of repair or replacement was disappointing.

Family ski trip

Good ski-in ski-out location. Could not get Wi-Fi to work or TV to show more than one channel selection. Also, the front bunk bedroom, was very cold and could not get it warm enough to utilize. We had no extra trash bags. The refrigerator likes to stay open so you have to push it hard to make sure it seals and same with the microwave. The fireplace had a note on it as did a few of the outlets that said do not use. again for thabest.what you pay for.

Many broken amenities

The location is great as it is ski in/out. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. However, the oven was broken. The dryer for gloves and ski gear was broken, the fireplace is broken. We thought the microwave was broken, but you just have to slam the door really hard which we figured out the last night. So disappointing

Clean but outdated

Condo was clean but really needs to be updated. The bathroom sinks were barely above our knee height and the commodes were so low it was like crawling up out of the floor. Could not get the TV in one bedroom to work. Cables were not even hooked up. It’s just an older condo. The outside of the building and decks really needs to be painted. The ski in/ski out part was really nice. If you’re not looking for luxury, you will like it just fine.

Good last minute ski trip

On par with most ski condos we have rented. Definitely not luxury if you are looking for that. Was mostly clean (with the exception of the stove burners- someone had previously boiled over or spilled stuff, and it had not been cleaned, so immediately started smoking when we went to use) and comfortable. Awesome location to ski out. Plenty of pillows and blankets, some small travel size containers of shampoo/conditioner and soap that were appreciated, and probably enough bath towels even though the listing says to bring your own. There are some maintenance items that could use attention: Boot dryers did not work/were taken apart, small dryer for gloves/balaclavas/etc did not work (burning smell and 1 pair of gloves not dry after a 90 min cycle), face of bottom drawer on dresser not connected to drawer so fell out on my foot when trying to open and bedroom door coming apart (bedroom with balcony door), screen for living room balcony door off track, fridge and microwave doors don't close well- you really have to make sure you give them a good push (especially top of microwave door). Overall we had a great stay!

Fun at the sloop’s

The condo was very nice . There were several things that needed to be addressed and we left a note concerning those things. It was great being so close to the slopes. The condo was warm and comfortable.

Condo at Winterplace Ski Resort

We loved staying right on the ski slopes. It was so convenient. The owner was very patient with me when I went to the wrong unit and kept texting that the door code didn’t work. Speaking of the door code, it wasn’t sent prior to us arriving and I had to call the owner to get it. The unit was exactly as listed (although the foosball table was a tiny one & I was expecting a full size one), but was a little worn and dated. It was fairly clean, but the kitchen could have been cleaner. Having a dryer in the mudroom was extremely beneficial. The towel rack in the guest bathroom was hanging halfway off the wall when we arrived, so we took it down while we were there. It had all of the kitchen essentials and we enjoyed the warm fireplace. Finally, the price was very reasonable for staying on the slopes. Thanks for providing a great place for us to enjoy my retirement ski retreat party!

Family trip

We had a great time seeing friends enjoyed watching Winter Place blow snow one night …only thing was we couldn’t get the door code from the email Vrbo sent to us …but we made a couple of phone calls and I think it was the owner call right back and gave it to us…we would go back and stay again

Worked for our family

We stayed in the off-season and it was almost deserted during the week, which made it quiet. The accommodations were adequate for our needs; beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and everything was clean. Host was easy to contact with a question. I would note that the 3rd bedroom is actually located in the entryway (ski room) which was a little surprising, but not a deal-breaker at this time of year. Dollar General is the only nearby store and everything else is about 30 or more minutes away, so be prepared for driving if you are not there to ski. Thanks for a good stay and good price for a family of 5!

Great place!

The trip was originally planned with my brother and his 2 boys coming but the week before they got quarantined due to covid exposure so they could not come. I enjoyed it even though I was by myself. Did a lot of skiing. It is great place, clean and was easy to get to the slopes.

Needed improvements

The kitchen is in dire need of upgrading. I'll just quickly list some of the issues The kitchen rug slides all around and is a tripping hazard, there's a poor supply of pots pans and dishes, the utensils are a horror, there is only one potholder, The refrigerated door doesn't close unless you push on it, the toaster is on its last legs, the oven needs to be cleaned, the can opener is broken, no corkscrew, need a new cutting board, there were not as many herbs and spices and basic kitchen cooking accessories as we had expected or we had in our unit last year. It would have been nice to have had a coffee table. The sink in the ensuite bedroom doesn't drain well. I must say for the price we were content and resourceful in making our own comfort. I mainly like to inform the owners or the management of problems because how else would they know. We had a wonderful time even though it rained and skiing was limited. We brought the outside table in and sat around and played cards most of the time laughed, ate, drank and enjoyed good friendship. Thank you, Helen Winckler, etal

Ski in Ski out

We could not have asked for a better ski in/ ski out location! The place was clean and seemed to be newly painted. The bunk beds are really in the entry way next to where you put on our skis (this seems to be similar placement to other units in the building). We ended up sleeping on the pull out couch. I'm told was not super comfortable, but did the trick. In all enjoyed our stay!

Cozy condo

This unit was clean and wonderfully cozy. Loved the bedding and all the extra blankets. The location could not have been more ideal. It's end unit closest to the slopes and was very quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Nice Ski in Ski Out at Winterplace

Easy check in / check out. Kitchen was well stocked with glasses, pots, utensils. Liked having a Keurig in the unit. Would stay again for sure.

Perfect for ski in ski out. Our teenagers would come and go. The condo was clean and the owner was great about responding to anything I had questions about. 100% pleased.

Very convenient location!

We really enjoyed staying here and the convenience of skiing in and out was wonderful. The full kitchen allowed us to cook all of our meals. I would definitely recommend this place.
