We really enjoyed our short stay at The Rock Hotel. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. It had all the facilities you would expect from a 4* hotel. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Very relaxing hotel with good food especially afternoon tea. Lovely quiet room with view over the port area and beyond. Pool area across the road plenty of room for everyone and drinks enjoyable all staff very pleasant and helpful

Cleaning excellent, balcony with lovely view of Algeciras Bay. Waiters not really on the ball sometimes ignoring one. Other staff fairly good rapport. Breakfast below average, not as good as one expects from a hotel with this reputation (e.g. bacon overcooked, fried eggs 'not available').

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay with friends to celebrate my 60th Birthday. I particularly liked the balcony and sea view. The Rock Hotel is very well situated for the botanical gardens, where we did parkrun, and for exploring the Rock.

Lovely swimming pool. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is lovely and the service second to none. Cannot fault it. Busses go close to the property so you don’t need to rely on taxis as well. Great stay and highly recommend

This hotel is iconic and you really feel it throughout the property. Nostalgia is high. Food was good. We had Sunday dinner and it was delightful. Even the bar food was high standard. Two slight downsides - found a dirty sock under the bed when we were leaving, which made us wonder how well it was cleaned. And the shower pressure was not great. Wife with long hair had trouble washing it. To be fair to hotel, we only advised them of this when we left so don’t know if they could have fixed and it didn’t impact our stay much.

The Rock hotel was pleasant. Very nice pool. Dinner at the restaurant was good but not spectacular for the price. I the breakfast was a bit disappointing and not as good as expected.
