Enjoy the peaceful beauty of the lake and wildlife at The Last Resort Kipling Cottages. The updated fishing cabins provide the comforts of home with some vintage charm. Fun for all ages. We have hosted many multi-generation family gatherings. Fun in the sun with family and friends playing in the lake and end your day gathered around a bonfire. Our guests treasure making memories with their friends and family.

Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Centrally located In the UP on Lake Michigan (Little Bay de Noc) in Gladstone MI.

Great location for day trips. Your cottage is an hour or less drive to: Manistique, Munising, Marquette, Menominee, Iron Mountain, Fayette, Kitch-iti-kipi, Pictured Rocks, AuTrain, Eben Ice Caves, Hiawatha National Forest, Island Resort & Casino, Peninsula Point Lighthouse, Gladstone Beach, Van Cleve Park, Escanaba Beach, Ludington Park. Numerous golf courses, disc golf courses, hiking and biking trails, breweries, wineries.

Little Bay De Noc is the Walleye fishing capital of the world. Many major fishing tournaments are hosted here. Walleye, Northern Pike, Salmon, Bass, Trout, Perch, and numerous other species.

Excellent fishing location on Little Bay de Noc! Lauch and dock your boat. If you need a fishing guide, let us know and we can refer you to local guides. Fishing charters are available locally or you can fish from your boat or our dock. Launch and dock your boat here. Kayaks, paddle boats, canoe and life jackets provided.

Bait shops and public boat launch are only 1 - 1.3 miles away.

Clean, comfortable and fully furnished. Two queen beds and a sofa sleeper. All bedding and towels are provided. Just bring your food, drinks, and personal items. Call us if you have special needs, we will see what we can do.

There are steps into the cottage. Also, the kitchen and bathroom are small so not wheelchair accessible.

Available year round for fishing. Also kayaking, boating, swimming, ATVing, hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing.

We are pet friendly. Dogs are welcome. We just ask that you clean up after them and don't leave your pets unattended as a courtesy to other guests. Sorry, cannot allow cats or rabbits due to allergies.

Perfect cabin for our small family

We had a great time staying here! Check in/out is a breeze. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook meals every day saving us money. Caught bass and pike around the dock. All the neighbors around us were very friendly and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality

We had an amazing experience throughout- from pre-arrival communications to host responsiveness.The location was ideal, though our family found the cottage a bit cozy.It did get a bit warm overnight, which the provided fans helped with. The window AC was doing its best.We appreciated the cleanliness of the stay, as well as the little touches such as s’mores ingredients and bug spray in the bathroom.I would highly recommend staying here.

A little unclean. Oven needs cleaning, smoked when used (filled the room). Grill needs cleaning. Bathroom needed a little cleaning when we first arrived. Could not find life jackets. TV in bedroom had trouble sinking with Roku, needed a few tries each time, it did always work eventually. We would love to stay again. Stacy is very nice. She came right over to change battery in smoke alarm when it alerted it was needed.

Reconnect with family

Brought niece and her 2 teens to visit family in Gladstone. 12 yo nephew LOVED fishing!! Everyone went out in kayaks, paddleboat, and played yard games. Exceptionally clean and stocked with what we needed. Reached out to owners for a couple questions and they replied immediately. Definitely recommend this place.

Cute and quiet! Wish there were more outlets or atleast 1 in bathroom. Shower is very small so both people over 6 foot it was a bit hard. Owners were very responsive and friendly!

Very nice cozy cottage! Everything we needed already there for us. Cute decor, thoughtful special touches such as everything we needed to make s’mores & a candy dish with candy in it. Perfect little spot

We rented this cabin for a 4 day weekend so we could quickly get to Escanaba for my 7 year old to play hockey. It was perfect for our family of 4. We also thought it would be cool to access Little Bay De Noc easily for ice fishing. It was absolutely perfect for this. We caught walleye and perch just out front on the 2nd reef. We would definitely stay again and will be recommending our friends with small family’s as well.

Midweek Getaway

This is a cute little fishing cabin that served our goal of relaxing and being by the water. We would have liked to have a campfire but it was way too windy and raining at times. So, we spent most of the time inside playing games and watching tv.

Great UP get-away cabin!

Perfect cabin for weekend (or longer) getaway in the UP! Very clean cabin, nicely stocked with kitchen basics. Beautiful location right on Lake Michigan! Very easy to communicate with hosts and they were very quick to respond. Would definitely stay gere again and would recommend to others.

Perfect property for our family get together

We rented two adjacent cabins for 9 of us, my wife and I and our two young adult daughters and my brother in law and sister in law with their three young adult kids. Small cabins but were as advertised and very cozy and clean and nicely appointed - was just right for early morning coffee on the deck, some water sports, time together around the fire, family games, etc. and also quick to get to downtown Gladstone or escanaba. Super easy to work with the owner Stacy. Had a great time and we all want to come back next year.

Boat and Dog Friendly

With a boat dock and launch close by and pet friendly it was perfect for us. Stacy and Carl were attentive to our needs and asked for minimal ajustment for our pets (we used our own blankets because our dogs sleep on the bed). They provided a couch cover for us and even left treats for the dogs as well as smore supplies for my son. While the bedrooms were small the overall space was fine for my family of 3 plus two puppies. TVs were located in the main room and one of the bedrooms. We had to have our own passwords for streaming sites but you could set it to auto log out of your sites at the end of your stay, which was nice. Just a day trip from Kitchi ti kipi and Lake Superior and a short drive (16 min) to Walmart or Meijer. The closer market was particularly expensive and limited so the slightly longer drive to Escabana was worth it. We took the boat out in the bay every day and kept some of the fish (Pike, Walleye, Perch and a Drum) Our hosts provide a fish cleaning station convenient to the dock. We use our own knives but there were several in the cabin we could have used if we did not. Stacy even offered to sharpen them if needed. Water is treated and safe but still country water so if you are sensitive you should plan on using bottled water. We didn't mind buying water for drinking since we normally don't drink tap water and we are municipal not well. Wonderful Stay, would recommend.
