“Comfortable property with well equipped kitchen and great deck right on the water. Pretty steep drive if you have a small car but ours managed it fine. Only 10 mins from the ferry.”

“Dog friendly, and great location. However you may need to be aware that the access to main living space is up 14 wooden stairs. We had to teach our to go up and down, slowly. I would imagine some older people having difficulty with this too.”

Two bedrooms with queen beds and one also included bunks so great for larger families. “We told the host we would arrive after 6pm  in Nov and she was there greeting us as soon as we arrived. We liked the kitchen which got all the cooking wares but not sure if there is cooking oil or seasonings. The electric stove was slow to turn on. The host has provided the eggs, milk, tea bags, coffee and juice as well as bread in two sandwich boxes so we could prepare our breakfast. Everywhere in the house, kitchen and bathroom are clean. “Lovely old mansion divided into units. Its showing the passage of time but still a stately old girl. Our unit was warm and inviting, double glazing ensured the cold stayed out and the aspect was perfect for trapping the light and heat. We really enjoyed our stay , it was the perfect jumping off point for exploring. Not for those wanting an upmarket experience but perfect if you want to feel immersed in Hobart as it was.”

“In November 2023, two friends and I enjoyed a week stay. The house was very clean and well-organized. Each of the three bedrooms were a generous size with a comfortable queen bed and mirror. The bathroom, featuring a toilet, along with a separate toilet, proved to be very convenient. The back deck provides a great view of Mt Wellington.
