Golden Sun

"Our stay at Golden Sun Hotel got off to a difficult start. The condition of our original room was disappointing, with a number of cosmetic and maintenance issues that fell short of our expectations. Thankfully, the team responded swiftly and organised another room, which made a real difference. The bedroom was very comfortable, the bed was lovely, and the shower pressure was some of the best I have experienced in a hotel! The staff were absolutely brilliant throughout our stay: attentive, welcoming and always willing to help. We really appreciated their efforts to turn things around after our initial disappointment. The location is fantastic, with the beach very close by and plenty of lovely walks in the surrounding area. The swimming pool was another highlight, and the excellent poolside service made it a particularly enjoyable place to relax. The main drawback was the sound insulation. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear a lot at night, which can be disturbing when trying to sleep. This is certainly something that would benefit from improvement, alongside the condition of some of the rooms. Despite the rocky start, we really enjoyed our stay and would be keen to visit again. The wonderful staff, great location and poolside experience left us with plenty of positive memories."

"It was a nice experience overall. My only complaint is that the property allows for you to reserve pool chairs. This should be nice but many people never showed and the chairs sat empty all day with reserve sign still on them."

"My husband and I stayed here for the first four nights of our trip to Greece. We did half board, so we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The food was great-a buffet for breakfast and dinner was at the hotel’s à la carte restaurant. The restaurant was fantastic. The hotel is just across the street from a great beach, and tram and bus stops are close by so getting in and out of Athens is incredibly easy. Bed is comfy and air conditioning is great. I’d stay here again for sure!"
