This place was a beautiful getaway for an amazing price! The staff was very friendly and helpful and recommended a nice boat tour for our family. The over water deck was so calm and relaxing. Definitely recommend this place!

This is a quiet property in a good location for walking around town. Jessica at check in was very nice , helpful and informative. The restaurant there was good and the Fish Hook next door was also very good. The hotel is partially built on cement posts over the water so it is nice to sit on the deck and enjoy the view and watch the fishing boats come and go.

Property was great, overlooking the marina. We stayed in the suite, and had a private deck over the water. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was super attentive and made the stay very enjoyable. As others noted, it is a long walk to town. But, taxis are everywhere and there is plenty of parking in town if you have a car.

We stayed in the ocean view room with private balcony, and it was beautiful. All very clean. Very nice staff. the restaurant was ok but not great, although the manager was kind. The hotel is on a very busy and fast main road and parking is limited and no nearby options. We did really enjoy our stay.

The staff was super friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. We fished two days with a guide recommended by Banana bay staff. We caught a ton of fish and brought them back to be cooked in a variety of different ways. The locals are friendly the staff s friendly. We will be back soon

Stay in the suite so that you get (the only) view of the bay. The room was clean, working AC, lots of room to spread out, and access to a nice deck. Staff were friendly, though caution: laundry is $8 per bag, so even if you have tiny bags that altogether would make up just one load of laundry, you could end up paying $$$. We ate at the nearby restaurant Mar y Arena (twice!) and loved it so much. We also booked a dolphin/snorkel tour that easily picked us up at the hotel's own boat dock.

The hotel is located right in front of major highway, yet very quiet. The minus were the beds, they need to be replace. The service was one of the best that I have experienced in Costa Rica.
