“Unfortunately, our room had a strong odor similar to mouse urine when the heater was turned on, which made our stay much less comfortable. The overall cleanliness of the room also was not what we expected. Also, there were not enough bath towels provided for everyone in our group to shower. When we requested additional towels, we were given a mix of floor mats, hand towels, and washcloths rather than bath towels. On a positive note, the front desk staff were friendly during our stay.”

The only real dock on rating for us is that the food was hit or miss for the price and there were two locals in the bar at dinner that were super annoying and made our dinner experience very uncomfortable. ”

“The decision to stay at Magpie Inn for our getaway was the absolute best decision we could have made. Everything, and I do mean everything, was the confirmation of our dream to have a restful time together. The location was close to downtown Mineral Wells. We actually just walked to the main street through town. At the Magpie Inn, there was not one thing lacking physically and mentally. The owners, Jeremy and Magen, have such a magical aura about them. “While I understand this was a cheap motel, there were a few things I couldn’t get past. The exterior was horrible with tripping hazards that look to have been there for some time. The “residents”. The room looked like they had updated it but left unfinished. Missing trim. Dirty caulking. Patches on the walls. Door not closing all the way (but secure) and the bugs.”

“Ok so I just got home from my trip to Graham. It was my boyfriend and I and here is my list of the pros and cons of this place.Cons:There was only a bigger fridge than most hotels and a microwave but no coffee maker or iron. Upon entering,we were over taken by the smell of rank cigarette smell. The floors were wet so we assumed they had just mopped. Turning on the ac, they started to dry. 20 mins later, the floors were wet again. We wiped it with a towel and the white towel became black. Very……

“This location and house are so excellent that it makes the trip. This place is so luxurious that this may as well be the object of our trip. It runs right next to the river, and enables a family to play, relax and explore for hours. We also enjoyed the games, the amenities and the location itself. It is a minor distance away from neighbors and the town, just far enough away for privacy and a feeling of exclusivity. We were so blessed to rent this place, as it was also an excellent Midway point……
