Easter in Grand Lake
We enjoyed the cabin and it provided well for all of us. We were able to seat 9 people around the dining room table and the kitchen was stocked with table wear and pots and pans. The cabin is located in a charming neighborhood and my husband and I enjoyed several walks around the lake. The golf course next door provided for some Nordic skiing and free sledding for the grandkids. Everyone enjoyed staying at the cabin.

Exactly what we we're looking for!
This place was easily accessible, close to town but far enough away. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the host was very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything!

Christmas in the Rockies
The cabin was situated in a mountain neighborhood, but if felt like we were in the middle of the woods all by ourselves. When we arrived the cabin looked like Christmas as it had recently snowed and when we entered we were greeted with a beautiful open concept cabin which was even decorated for the Holiday. We made a several meals, watched football and played games during our stay and it was so peaceful. We want to visit this cabin again!!!

Holiday Getaway!! 🦃🎄
A perfectly relaxing and cozy cabin in the woods! Our family of 7 plus 2 dogs were very comfortable and well taken care of during our 4 night stay. Our Thanksgiving feast was easily prepared with all of the kitchen necessities available. We enjoyed a short walk to Columbine Lake and a brisk walk around the neighborhood with breathtaking views all around! Conveniently located just a short drive to Grand Lake Village to partake in all that it has to offer was also very nice. Waking up to fresh snow was a treat and added to the enjoyment of a crackling fire. Each room was comfortable and provided exactly what we needed to get some rest for a new day. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!!

Great location!
Right outside the park! As we arrived we heard elk bugling. We went early morning and evening to the park to see the wildlife and it couldn’t be more convenient. The home is well stocked with all necessities. We especially enjoyed all the extra kitchen utensils so we could prepare full meals. We also appreciated Scott checking on us during the week. Definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to experience the park on the quiet side!

Perfect Stay in Grand Lake
This cabin provided the perfect place to stay for our visit to the west side of RMNP. Its location was only a mile to the national park entrance and also to the town of Grand Lake. The cabin was very spacious, clean and felt like a true mountain home away from home for our family. We loved the quiet neighborhood and took walks around Columbine Lake and on the other trails close by. Scott was very accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed at check in and during our stay. Overall, it was a perfect visit to Grand Lake. We would highly recommend Scott's property and hope to visit again ourselves!

Beautiful property
The cabin is beautifully kept and on a very pretty parcel of land. Moose walked right up to the cabin in the morning and the cabin is close to the lake. The property owner was friendly and helpful. This place earns it's five star reviews! We had an excellent time.

Great location, awesome property, family friendly
This place exceeded our expectations! We had plenty of space for two families, including three very active boys ages 1 to 7. There were toys and games, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and lots of space to cook, eat and hang out, both indoors and outside. The fire pit was a huge hit! Our favorite part was how private and remote the place felt yet it was just a couple minutes from town. Host communication was excellent and we will definitely recommend to others looking for a nice getaway in the area.

Best Family Vacation with adult children
The cabin was everything we thought it would be and more. The cabin was well stocked with everything you could think of. Very clean and the host kept in contact throughout our stay. If we go back to Grand Lake again we will definitely stay at this cabin.

Awesome place and launching point
Very comfortable property with all of the accoutrements you would expect (lots of pots and pans, everything works, balcony for wildlife viewing, fire pit, deck, etc). Beautiful walks around Columbine Lake, lots of friendly people. Great base for trips to Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, hiking, fishing, etc. Host was super responsive. Already booked for 2024!!!

Perfect Colorado Vacation
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to town for the shops and restaurants. Our first morning we had a moose and her baby laying 20 feet outside the kitchen window. The cabin was very clean and welcoming. Scott was one of the best hosts we have ever had. We would definitely stay here again!

Just what we needed!
Great cabin nestled up to forest, providing the break from city life we were looking for, mountain breeze and sun shining on our faces just relaxing out on the front porch, stargazing at night with the regular sounds of elk bugeling, tons of birds feeding outside the window, chipmunks stopping by the deck, and fox hopping through the woods. Loved the wooden interior and exposed lodge pole and vaulted ceilings. Enjoyed daily walks around Columbine Lake and day trips into the park. Great stay, we’ll be back!

Lovely stay at this little cabin. We need handicapped accessible friendly place for wheelchair and walker access. This fit the bill for the most part. The cabin is very well stocked and the beds comfy. As we packed the last bag into the car we did have a cow moose walk through as well. Great place to stay. Thank you to Scott for the great hospitality.

FANTASTIC cabin!
Like everyone else says..the pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s a gorgeous cabin with room for everyone. The rooms and beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked, and the owner was very communicative (we didn’t need a thing! He just checked in to make sure we were good and if we had seen a moose yet 😊Spoiler alert: we did!!) This place is so conveniently located to the entrance of RMNP, and Columbine Lake is blissfully quiet. We’ll be back!!

Nature Nest
This property does not disappoint in the nature and wildlife dept! Nestled in Aspens, Pine trees and wildflowers the animals frequent the property daily/nightly. We saw on a regular basis a Doe and her two fawns, countless moose, a wide variety of birds at the bird feeders as well as a Mother Robin and her 3 chicks that nested under the arbor just right outside the side door. We did not see a bear but suspect there was one that tore down one of the bird feeders hanging from the shed. A beautiful setting to relax and escape.

Great place and great ownership!
Loved this place. Literally had a moose walk right in front of our eating area while we were eating dinner one night. Really well situated for amazing wildlife scenery as it backs up to an open space that the moose and deer come through. Owner (Scott) is fantastic. Super responsive and has a great personality as well. Anything you could possibly need, within reason, he’ll be there to support on your way in and out. Great location. It’s by Columbine lake (private) but very close to Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake as well. Anywhere you want to go in that area that is central to Grand Lake is a quick drive away, and Columbine Lake is right across the street and a nice lake to walk around in the morning /evening. Just bring bug repellent! We will certainly be back!

Amazing Cabin
This was an absolutely amazing place to stay. We saw plenty of moose and the beauty of the nature around the cabin is exactly if not better than pictured. By far my favorite place I've stayed in for vacation in a long time! The property owner was communicative, but not overbearing. 100% plan to stay here again.

Beautiful rustic cabin
We had a great family get away in Grand Lake. The cabin is adorable and in a quiet, private location, super close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain NP. We saw moose each morning right outside the kitchen window ! There’s lots to do in Grand lake - fishing, boating, SUP and hiking. Communication with Scott the owner was outstanding - thanks Scott. We’ll definitely be back!

This cabin is perfect for a get mountain getaway! We love Columbine Lake Community and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Scott is always available if needed and has a simple process for check-in and check-out. Plenty of kitchen supplies to make cooking easy and the fire pit and indoor wood fire is a bonus (when fire restrictions are lifted). Definitely would stay again. Lots of easy walking to explore the community.

Everything about this property was wonderful. Great communications with the owner. The town of Grand Lake blew us away (our son and his fiancée had been there and recommended it). Such a throwback- so charming. We usually stay for our annual CO visit in Estes Park, but I think Grand Lake stole our heart. Easy park access with beautiful hikes. Golf course close to home. Great shopping if that’s what you want. Cabin is gorgeous and very clean. Very well stocked kitchen. We loved all the bird feeders and my husband had some first-time bird sightings. No other wildlife, but that’s okay! Thank you!!! We will be back.

October Get Away
We really liked the quiet setting and closeness to the West Entrance to Rocky Mtn. National Park. We were there at 'peak' leaf color. Didn't see a lot of wildlife but did enjoy the scenery all round. The cabin is well stocked and very clean. A Very Nice Weekend Get Away!

Quiet neighborhood full of wildlife’s.
We enjoyed our stay at Moose Cabin. The place was very clean and well kept with plenty of necessities on hand. The location is very close to the RMNP west entrance as well as being a short drive to Grand Lake. The directions were clear and concise and we drove right to it. There’s plenty of wildlife right around the cabin too. Moose, deer and even a fox all stopped by for a visit during our stay. Our host was very nice and available if needed. As it turns out we didn’t need his assistance but it was nice knowing he was a phone call away. If we ever decide to take another trip to the west side of the park again we’ll definitely consider staying in this charming little cabin again.
