Lake Front Rental/Downtown Grand Lake Apt 2 The Blue Jay

Stay in a recently renovated 1 bedroom apartment with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. This apartment has a amazing lake view in the charming town of Grand Lake. The large shared deck overlooks the lake and public beach in the heart of downtown.
Excellent walkability to all the great restaurants and shops. The apartment has a full kitchen and full bath.

Walk directly from the deck down to the public park and beach. Hike, bike, boat, paddle, swim, fish, snowmobile, snowshoe and enjoy nature in the little town on the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Trailheads for popular hikes are minutes from the apartment. We are across the street from popular restaurants and right on the wooden boardwalk in downtown Grand Lake. Off-street parking is available to one vehicle per apartment, free public parking is available all along Grand Avenue and in several town maintained public parking lots. The public beach has a launch for non-powered boats next to the fishing pier, bring your canoe, kayak or paddle boards.

Grand Lake is a charming little town with a lot of history. The Kauffman House Museum is open summer weekends, there are shops, galleries, and restaurants all along the wooden boardwalks. The town is surrounded by national forest and Rocky Mountain National Park. Take a drive over Trail Ridge Road to Estes Park or check out the lively town of Winter Park. Summer is the busiest season with mostly sunny weather, if you prefer a slower pace come visit us in the fall when the aspen turn red and gold and the weather is cool. Winter offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling very nearby and alpine skiing is just 20 minutes away in Granby. The town allows snowmobiles on the public streets, which connect to trails in the Park. Visit Hot Sulphur Springs to soak in the naturally hot spring water, one of the pools was used by the native peoples prior to arrival of pioneers.

Grand Lake is the largest natural lake in Colorado and host to two marinas. Shadow Mountain Lake connects via the channel and hosts a 3rd marina. Travel between the two lakes is permitted. Numerous creeks and rivers are accessible from public land for fly fishing. Rent a power boat from one of the marinas or rent a paddle board or kayak if you prefer a human powered ride. ATV use and snowmobile use is permitted within town limits.

Best Cozy Place

Wonderful stay in perfect location!!

This place is perfect, especially for 4th of July activities and fireworks! Extremely clean and cozy one bedroom apartment above the birdstore in Grand Lake. Eric was super as our host and was very attentive to our needs! This is one of our favorite places to stay in the mountains! We would definitely recomend, and have, and also will stay again!

Great 20th Anniversary!

We had a great time. Loved this little place on the lake with beautiful views and convenient access to town! Everything was clean and ready for our arrival! We enjoyed everything; the lodging, food and all the fun activities during Grand Lake Buffalo Day weekend! We will definitely visit again

Property was as described. Location is perfect, right off main street but tucked away, lake behind. Very clean, check in was super easy, communication was great and, most important, check out was very easy. Will happily stay again.

Beautiful Time on Grand Lake

This property was perfect for 2 people plus our little pup. Beautiful kitchen, we cooked the whole time and we loved watching fireworks on the patio/deck. The lake access is RIGHT there, barely a 2-minute walk. It was perfect, we paddle boarded all weekend. Everyone was super friendly in the area, really chill area, we can't wait to come back.

Great location!

Overall great experience. The location is perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and taking in the views of the lake and the mountains. The apartment is very nice and clean. Check in and check out were super simple. Parking is a little tight so be aware of that if you’re driving a big vehicle.

Great View and Space

This property was clean, had a great view of the lake, and was in a location where you can walk everywhere. The noise level on the weekend was pretty bad, as there is live music at the restaurant next door and there were two weddings at the adjacent marina the weekend we stayed. The music and partying went on until 3 am.

Our first stay at Grand Lake

property was clean and efficiently set up Great shared deck with umbrellas and gas grills but be aware there. are steps to get to it. Had it's own parking spot. Easy access to boat launch area and swim beach. The water is cold. The only change i would offer, that would make it more comfortable would be to add a coffee table. Also it was advertised as non smoking both inside and on the deck but other people that were there did smoke on the deck

It was a good location and easy process to rent this place. We have a couple of suggestions. Accommodate. This means you improve and do what it takes to provide accommodation. Pots and pans, need to have non stick pan at least one so people can cook pancakes or eggs so it does not stick. Refrigerator light did not work and with no excuses, should be fixed. Check and double check all pots and pans are there before new customers check in. Missing lid for only one small 6 qts pot. And we had to us a frying pan to boil pasta. Need to provide 10qys to 12 qts pot. These are minor but would of made cooking more convenient. We communicated this with the owner and apparently he is aware but had excuses. Last, vrbo is expenses, admin fee and cleaning fee and this fee and that fee…makes it “un appealing”. This is my first time going through vrbo, and i may need to reconsider other options.

What an absolutely wonderful place for a getaway! The location was perfect awesome access to the stores. The view was unbelievable! If you're headed to Grand Lake I highly recommend this little diamond!

Great attentive host with a beautiful property, nicely upgraded. the view of the lake and beach were so nice and it was really great to be able to walk out of the apartment and be right on Grand Ave.
