Was very clean and comfortable and the view of Lake Superior was amazing. Double room had two bedrooms separated by the bathroom which worked which gave my friend and I some privacy. Living area downstairs was very cozy...and again...those views of the Lake!!! I'd highly recommend and will stay here again.

I believe we had cottage 5A. We are on a three week trip. Stayed in maybe 12-15 motels. This place was our favorite. The other ones had nicer rooms and facilities maybe. But this place had charm. The setting was beautiful. Staff were outstanding. We wish we could have spent a week.

We stayed for 2 days at the lodge. Our room was great! It was very clean and great location. We went over for breakfast and it was just a short walk away. The view of Lake Superior was really nice and we sat outside and enjoyed the view with a cold drink. We will definitely be coming back.

Loved the location, the comfort and cleanliness of not just our room but the entire property. Beautiful common area and chairs on the porch overlooking the lake in the sun. Restaurant next door had good food and discount for those staying on the property.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cascade Lodge! We loved the close proximity to Lake Superior and their private shoreline! We also ate at the restaurant and it was great-food and staff friendliness! There was even live music on the night we were there.

The common area of this lodge is great! Very attractive and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately our room wasn’t as good. We had a room that faced the water and thus the highway. The traffic was nonstop and very loud. The rooms don’t have air conditioning and ours was very warm (in October!) so we had to choose between the noise and the heat. One fan was provided. The shower temperature was very hard to regulate and the shower didn’t drain. Also very tight quarters. If you choose to stay here, choose a room that faces the back and has two beds.

This little spot was 10/10. Some of the best staff I've encountered. The cabin was absolutely perfect as a Basecamp and unexpectedly had a fold up twin bed, which worked out perfectly for my sister and I. I will stay here again and again moving forward!

This was my second visit here. I came with my friend's. It was so relaxing. The view of the lake was amazing. They have hiking trails steps away, which was nice for going on daily walks. I look forward to returning here again.

This is a nice rustic place to stay. I was in the lodge, but there are also cabins available. I appreciate it that the rooms in the lodge can be entered from the interior of the building and the exterior. I was able to park fairly close to my room and could bring my luggage right into my room through the external door. The walls are thin and somebody in the room next to me at a cold and I heard a lot of coughing. They have a restaurant across the parking lot that is pretty good. If you eat at the restaurant, they will let you purchase and take a beer or drink with you to your room. My room had a nice full-size refrigerator with a freezer. There is a playground for kids.

We enjoyed our stay at Cascade Lodge on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We booked a room in the lodge with a view of the lake and were pleased. It was an excellent location to see all the water falls from Gooseberry State Park, Tettegouche State Park, Cascade State Park and Grand Portage, and to visit the Split Rock Lighthouse. We also spent some time in Grand Marais. The staff at the lodge was very informative and helpful. The Cascade Restaurant also has both good food and a friendly staff.

The room was good. We were plagued by mosquitoes, as the motel room door had gaps around it. The amenities are few, except that the location is great and has lots of hiking opportunities. The rooms had coffee makers. I prefer to get coffee already made. Unfortunately, this was left over from the previous day 2 of the 3 days we were there. The restaurant has good food.
