“Perfect for a solo retreat! I needed some relaxing time alone in the woods (in a beautiful maple forest, no less), but still wanted to be somewhat close to civilization, and this was the spot! I got such refreshing, restful sleep every night in this absolutely quiet, tiny (but airy) playhouse of a cottage, thanks to the super cozy and comfy bed! It was all just so sweet—even if, as I did, you just want to hang out and read as you listen to the rain all day. Grand Marais is only eighteen minutes……

“My stay was wonderful. It was so dark at night and so quiet. I saw the Northern Lights and a shooting star while sitting on the deck. The cabin was very clean, neat and cozy. The bathroom was clean and I was happy to find out that it had lights. It was close to town but felt like it was miles away. I would definitely recommend staying here.”

“Amazingly beautiful property. The best view of the harbor you could ask for. Very walkable. LOVE that it was dog friendly. Would stay again. Note: they charge a cleaning fee (and a dog fee) but still want you to take out the trash, strip the bed, sort and take out recycling, start dishwasher, etc. For the nightly rate I wouldn't expect the cleaning fee wouldn’t cover those things.”
