「The location could not be more perfect at this property that epitomizes old Nags Head. The relaxing porch leads to a gorgeous beach. The interior of the house is old, but newer bathrooms - as described in the listing. The kitchen provided the basics (plates, utensils, etc) but could’ve benefited from some essentials (like dish soap and dishwasher detergent). More bath towels would’ve also been helpful. Communication from the property manager was timely and thorough. 」

「House was perfect for all the diverse needs of family members that stayed. We really enjoyed the large private backyard and heated pool. The home was clean and had everything needed for a large family. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us the ability to cook meals and enjoy at home all together. Owner responded promptly and ensured our needs were met. Close location to beach with accessible private pathway. Highly recommend!」

「The cottage was great and the location even better. All you need for a memorable and affordable vacay in the OBX. I've been coming to the outer banks for 40 years and had never eaten at Tortugas. Since it was located directly across the street, we took advantage of it's proximity. Delicious! 」

「We came for a weekend to attend a wedding. My family of 4 & our dog along with my sister-in-law's family of 4 were able to relax & enjoy some time before the wedding & hang out afterwards. It was so much nicer than being in a hotel cramped in a room! This place was clean, & plenty of places to sleep. Great, quiet neighborhood & close to the beach road & sidewalks. It was GREAT!! 」

「We loved this little house. The rooms are small but that’s to accommodate a larger group which is totally worth it. House and hot tub were clean and amenities for inside and at the beach were more than I’ve typically experienced with rentals. Everything we wanted to do was close by - restaurants, mini golf, coffee and most importantly beach access. 10/10 for our stay. 」

「We enjoyed our long weekend at Salty Paws and look forward to visiting again in the future! Our dogs loved the big backyard, and the host even provided bowls for them to use during our stay. Despite being so dog friendly, the house was spotless when we arrived, and the entry instructions were easy and provided well in advance. The house is in a great location, and we loved being able to walk to the beach, the grocery store, and lots of restaurants. 」

「Wonderful beach charm cottage. Very relaxing. Well stocked. Nice TP and Paper towels provided along with dish soap, a new kitchen sponge. Shampoo, body wash and hair conditioner were supplied too. The location is VG. Pride of ownership shows. A little tough on doggie paws due to sand burrs, and thorns in nearby growing vines. But, that’s the nature of beach vegetation.」

「We have stayed in a few places and this by far is the cleanest and well stocked property yet! Anything you need for your stay they have it and more! Communication is wonderful! And the location is the best part! The road is alittle busier than the rest of the side roads. But still way worth it for the location. The walk to the beach isn’t bad at all! My mom can’t walk that great. So when she wanted to go to the beach the parking is right there and this beach access has ramp instead of stairs....

Our fur baby had nice place out back to sniff and stretch her legs out back while we enjoyed the Adirondack chairs and hot tub. WONDERFUL home and directly across the highway from the best place for breakfast, Stack 'em High! A must if you go to OBX. 」
