When you arrived you showed up with a pet, in a non pet friendly home. Our rules clearly state that doing so will result in a $300 cleaning fee. Knowing the circumstances with the celebration of life we suggested you pay a $100 cleaning fee to help cover the deep clean needed. We never heard anything until Sunday Morning when you wanted to add another night ( a strange request considering you later claimed the house was full of sewerage). At this point you insisted it was a service dog, rather than argue we eliminated the fee. After telling us to book the home for Sunday night you called back and said you really only wanted to stay until 3:00, we agreed to $200 since we had to cancel the cleaning crew. Alls good until nearly 1:00 when you claim on Saturday the sewer backed up and the house was unlivable, yet you stayed longer and even paid. Of course you wanted a refund at which point we said we wouldn’t charge since you were leaving early…..yet you stayed until after 3:00 Our crew and caretakers entered the house immediately after you left. There was no evidence of the disaster you claim happened. We checked with a moisture meter and checked and ran water and no issues whatsoever. Of course you then requested a full refund at which point we refused to be taken advantage of any further. Oh, the chair. You said it broke when your son leaned back, you said your husband would have fixed it if we had glue at the home. You then went on to say the teenagers stayed in the home while you attended the celebration of life. You had never mentioned anyone hitting their head until the review. We have everything to back up what we say on the VRBO app and text threads We told you if there were any issues to talk with our crew or care takers that are on the property. You never once did.

Hi Larence, we're sorry the internet was sub par during your stay. I wish you had called or seen the note suggesting the Modem needs to be reset if the internet is slow. While it's certainly not up to city standards it's usually quite sufficient. Thanks for the review!!

"We're glad you had a good time, Bonny! We're sorry you found some of the beds a little uncomfortable. We've been polling our visitors in an effort to get things just right, and we're finding that the perfect "goldilocks" beds might just not be possible--some people just like softer mattresses, and some people like harder mattresses. Nonetheless, we've changed the mattress pads in hopes of getting closer to that right balance. Thanks for inspiring us to work on that! We have to admit we're a little bit more confused regarding concerns about the amount of upstairs furniture. But reasonable people may disagree! Hi Vashall and thanks for the comments. We have had several groups (not through Homeaway) stay with us since your visit. We did ask them after their stay if they had any issues with the beds. Not one person had issues. We even asked some past guests and again, they had no issues. At this stage we can only conclude your complaints were directed at the pull out sofas. Generally speaking, pull out sofas "In a gameroom" are used by kids, not adults. We had upgraded those mattresses to the maximum thickness the couches would accept. We do have larger homes with more beds that your group size would be more comfortable with should you decide to return. We are sorry for the situation but there was nothing we could do on Christmas day that would have helped the situation. We will continue to monitor the situation. Thanks!
