On arrival, we were very disappointed on the room given to us. The room was on the farthest end of the ground floor, with a view of dirty unsightly shrubs. The room was dark, and not at all what we were expecting from a very pleasant visit a year or so ago. We asked to be moved to a room with a view of the lake, but were told, because we booked through Expedia, we could not change our accommodation. The clerk who was obviously new, did eventually, get us a better room on the third floor, besides the elevator, but the view was a roof top of the building next door. NOT A HAPPY EXPERIENCE!

The short hiking trail steps away from the front door to a Pavillion with a beautiful view of Muskoka Lake and the boardwalk also steps away leading to the Bayfront and all the shops and restaurants.

Great hospitality and friendly services. We enjoyed very much the lake view from the balcony. The suite is well designed which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

Me gustó mucho la propiedad, el area es muy tranquila y queda frente al lago, lo que le da un ambiente de mucha paz. Mi única queja sería el tema de la limpieza, en el baño encontré un vello ajeno y en el sofa cama una media usada y enrollada dentro del colchon.

I like the location and that you can go for a walk on the trail, the gym was small wish it was bigger and also wish we had a better view of the lake because it was beautiful outside the little we see

Loved the setting. Our room overlooked the lake. Breakfast was okay but food could be a bit warmer and a few more options regarding fruit.

Property seems dated and yet used to be much better value nearly a decade ago compared to other Muskoka hotels. TV was hung near the ceiling which was odd. No towels in swimming area (had to ask), no utensils at breakfast (had to ask), etc likely due to more people than normal during winter but this should have been obvious to management and staffed accordingly given the Family Day long weekend.

Property is excellent. Views are great and location is good. Only downside is there is no on-site restaurant or bar. The gym equipment is sparse. But overall facility is nice.

This hotel is set in a gorgeous location, right on the bay with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Our suite room had a balcony overlooking the water, and the beds were very comfortable. The service was excellent, bringing us up extra pillows and blankets for the pull out sofa and following up that we had everything that we needed.

Our stay was comfortable and relaxing! We were able to get early check in which was great. Our room was spacious and clean. Only negative was the breakfast- it was very busy and many of the items took quite Some time to be replenished.

We booked 2 suites for 10 people, one of these suites out of power in early morning due to this we have to use bathroom in dark, staff showed up, but problem wasn’t fixed. In addition there was ceiling lamp which was not running and water start dripping through the ceiling LED. Next day morning, at the time of breakfast no staff there to refill food. We literally had to go inside the kitchen and have to ask that we need this item to be refilled. Overall not worth for money, very disappointing.

Property is beautiful, don’t forget your camera. The grout in the bathroom needs work on both wall and floor tile, also someone has gone over the caulking at the tub with clear silicone so the mold underneath is still visible. If you can see past that you’ll have a lovely stay.

The property is very old and the rooms are very old. They were dirty on the carpet and balcony. When I book Marriot, I am paying a lot more money for cleanliness and high quality room, but this was not the case. If I had known I could have spent 1/2 the money and have the same experience. Very disappointed. I would not be staying with Marriot anymore and would rather spend less. Oh the continental breakfast was horrible. I am vegan, and all I could eat was bagel and butter. No bread, no milk. I’ve had better experience with continental breakfast of 2 star hotels. Very bad experience cannot stress enough. Stay at your own risk.
