A car is essential to reach Captain’s Cove and explore the surrounding area. Once you arrive, the neighborhood is wonderfully walkable—perfect for strolling to the clubhouse, pools, or along scenic nature trails by the bay.
Keep in mind, this is a peaceful and remote escape. Services, restaurants, and shops are about 20 minutes away, so plan ahead and stock up before you arrive for a stress-free stay.
We want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable, so please review these guidelines:
Smoking:
No smoking inside the home. If smoke is detected by our cleaning team, a $50 fee will apply.
Pets:
Dogs are welcome! A $75 pet fee applies—please let us know during booking to avoid additional charges later. Pets must be leashed in common areas and never left unattended outdoors. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets.
Noise & Quiet Hours:
Per Accomack County ordinance, quiet hours are 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No move-ins or move-outs during these hours. Please respect neighbors and avoid excessive noise.
Parking:
Driveway parking for up to 4 vehicles, including boats or campers (with HOA approval). RVs may be permitted with prior approval but cannot be occupied during your stay. All vehicles must park on designated surfaces—not on grass or vegetation.
Community Rules:
Captain’s Cove is a private community. Please respect property lines and avoid trespassing on neighboring lots. Gatherings beyond the home’s occupancy limit are not allowed—larger events should be held at community amenities like the Marina Club.
Prohibited Items:
Portable firepits, inflatable pools, and bounce houses are not permitted.
Grills & Fire Safety:
Portable grills are allowed but must be positioned so smoke does not disturb neighbors. Permanent grills or fire pits require HOA approval. Fireworks are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
Late Check-Out:
A $100 per hour fee applies for late check-outs. The home is booked almost year-round, so cleaning time is essential. If you have travel delays, message us—we’ll do our best to accommodate.
