An awful experience with an owner who does not care.
We arrived in the evening for a 1-week stay. At check-in, I mentioned concerns about the air quality as the smell throughout the main parts of the hotel was intense. They brushed it off.
After staying one night, we found the condition to cause health problems for me. I suffer from a lot of allerfies. I raised this with reception who called the owner, who blatantly yelled at me for any suggesting any issues.
We had booked for 1-week but there was no way I could make it through a week. We went back and forth over next day trying to find a compromise (including offering to pay for half the stay even if we left), but they refused and just said it's non-refundable. And to make things worse, they refused to even try remediate the issue or offer any solution.
We left after two nights.
Oh, and just to add, the hotel has a live-in cat -- another thing that made me very allergic.
