Beautiful Cabin on the lake
Our family really enjoyed the stay at the cabin. The back deck overlooks the lake and has a great view of sunset from the dock at the waters edge. Plenty of space inside and comfortable sleeping for six people. It's about a 15 min drive to town to get groceries and supplies. Felt very private and made for a relaxed long weekend. Would highly recommend.

Loved the Location!
The cabin was perfectly adequate for our needs, as we were traveling with our 2 year old Golden Retriever puppy. The cabin was totally equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed
The Cabin was in a perfect location to explore the surrounding area around Moosehead Lake and Lily Bay State Park, only two miles away from our Back Point cabin. Great swimming and hiking in the immediate area.
The location is awesome. So private and great for dogs. The interior of the cottage lacks essentials for cleaning. Noticed mice droppings in dresser draw. My wife saw one in the bathroom, and I heard them in the walls.

Rustic cabin on the lake
This cabin is VERY rustic- the location is great- beautiful view , some plumbing issues with facet in kitchen and needs a shower head in shower. Also for a large cleaning fee, it is a pain to have to drive trash into town .
Very charming "old school" rustic cabin. Location was great with plenty of privacy. Views of the lake are beautiful and the "dock" is a great addition. Id consider trimming some of the trees back at the waterline if that's legal. Outdoor and indoor furniture is a little dated so glad we brought our own camping chairs. Beds and bathrooms were nice. Everything was clean enough. Spotted the odd ant here and there but growing up in Maine that is very normal with cabins up here. An outdoor fire pit would be nice though. Overall had a wonderful time. Very cozy.

Love the rustic
My 13 year old son loved it! I loved the house and the view however, it is very rustic and very much like someone’s bare bones, investment property, and not a family owned home. The price it was listed for was ok, but not with all the additional fees attached. It is a bait and switch type of deal. The cleaning fee is the highest I’ve ever seen for basic cleanliness.
When we arrived we did try to contact Vacasa with some questions we never received a reply and no one ever answered the phone. We did receive an inordinate number of emails. Emails, providing information that did not always match the hardcopy information provided in the house. The view and proximity to the lake, were incredible but are hard-pressed to balance out the negative aspects. I really wish a family who loved the house owned the house. It has so much potential with very little additional work.

The Lake was Beautiful
This is really an old summer camp. No frills. Not clean. Sticky and slimy surfaces, refrigerator was not clean and had food in it, the kitchen sink faucet was broken and leaked water all over and down the counter, dishes were dirty with food debris, cabinets and closets had a crazy bad smell. This was a sad disappointment due to the cost of the property (with all the fees) and what the vacation meant to me. The grounds are cool. There is a little dock to sit on out on the lake which is the selling point of this property. That is where the majority of my time was spent.

Loved the location and the dock. The house itself is cute and comfortable.
If the dock or access to water and swimming were not included, this property wouldn’t have been as enjoyable. It was a cute and comfortable, well stocked with towels and wash cloths + fully stocked kitchen appliances. If you are planning to stay here, please be aware that the cleaning fee you pay for is a bit ridiculous. Cob webs and bugs were everywhere, including the shower. I’m not picky or too scared of bugs but you think it would be cleaner for what you pay. Other than the cleanliness, it was a great experience.

Beautiful spot
The cabin in the woods with privacy from all the other cottages. Let’s you kick back and relax but yet close enough to Greenville to enjoy all what Greenville has to enjoy.
Very comfortable, fairly secluded, deck has lovely view of MH Lake, no mice whatsoever (contrary to some earlier reviewers), furniture was AOK (also contrary to some earlier reviewers), our cell phones got fine reception, loons kept us company. Also, trash system seems simple now (contrary to some earlier reviewers).
*Very* minor hitch: kitchen spigot is overdue for replacement and was awkward to work.
Nice little getaway from NH, place was in a great quiet area and allowed dogs which was a huge plus! Our dog was comfortable and had space to roam around while tied up. A couple droppings from rodents upstairs, but when you’re in the woods that’s something to expect. Overall place was great.
This is a nice cabin located in a secluded area, which is what we wanted. The property has a lot of water frontage that I was not expecting. The photos do not do the cabin any justice as it is a lot nice than the advertisement. The inside and grounds were clean and the area was just far enough out of town to be quiet (not like it’s a rowdy area), but still close enough to drive in for morning coffee. I loved the views from this location and would book it again in the future. The only suggestion I have is to update the furniture inside as the living room has old and small furniture.
We loved our stay at this cabin - it's in a perfect spot to enjoy the lake, and the setting and the cabin itself were a great fit for our family. It didn't affect our stay much, but it did not look perfectly cleaned, which I would have expected during COVID times in particular; there were spiderwebs on the hanging lights and dust on the tables, and much of the cutlery in the drawers needed a rewash before using (without a dishwasher and being reliant on guests to do the cleaning of these likely is the reason). It didn't negatively impact our stay, but a refresh of available cookware and a way to ensure the prior guests cleaned properly would be ideal.

Gorgeous view!
Charming cabin on the water with a spectacular view over Moosehead Lake and its islands. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves rolling onto shore was lovely. So peaceful!

Great location
Quiet, peaceful location - can't see the neighbors! Beautiful view as the cabin is right on Moosehead lake. No Wi-Fi, but we got a very good 4G LTE Verizon cell connection there. Very clean and comfortable property with everything you need. Be sure to use the lockbox on the railing by the side door - not the one facing the lake. No cable TV but it gets a few digital stations via an outside antenna.
Great seclude spot. Able to safely walk dog off lease. Beautiful view from porch. Great kayaking!

Great Maine camp.
Great traditional Maine lake camp in a really great location. We had a very relaxing and fun week. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for fun, quiet and a beautiful lake.
This is a classic Maine cabin...nothing fancy. It was clean and had pretty much everything you need. The fireplace was amazing (but no wood was provided). There is a large deck with good views of the lake and also a dock to take in the beautiful sunsets. It was too cold to swim, and although there were some rocks, it looked like it would a pretty easy place to do some swimming. A few things to be aware of...there are TWO lock boxes. After trying for 10 minutes to open the one on the front of the house and calling Vacasa (never actually getting through to anyone), we finally noticed the other box on the railing by the side door. They advertise a grill...it is a charcoal grill and no charcoal was provided, so if you plan on grilling, bring your own charcoal. We did have a mouse visitor, but that's to be expected in a cabin in the woods. The TV is really small and the loveseat and two rattan chairs are not very comfortable. An investment into more comfortable seating would be a big improvement. But, there were plenty of old VHS tapes and DVDs to keep you entertained on a rainy day. Overall, the cabin is private and quaint. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again.
