Moosehead Lake Cabin

Perfect space to escape reality for a few days. Small cabin but enough space to comfortably relax and enjoy it with my partner and pup. Dock area is nice with a sandy spot to swim. Close to the small town of Greenville with plenty of restaurants and things to do. Definitely will be planning a trip to come back!

I was pleasantly surprised with this property. The cabin was comfortable and the location was gorgeous with beautiful scenic views right on the lake. The propane wood stove came in handy too. The cabin is in a great location close to town and other destinations but very private.

Amazing cozy place

The cabin is ultra clean, organized and very guest friendly with all the amenities. Beds were very comfortable, nice fireplace and don’t get me started about the view!!!! It’s amazing!!!!!!! Definitely a summer go to destination, without a doubt. .

Beautiful view of lake!

Great location and view. Close to Greenville but just far enough away. The view of Moosehead Lake is breathtaking! The cabin is a bit outdated and old but very quaint and clean. Nothing fancy but for the cost, not bad. Would stay here again.

wonderful stay on Moosehead Lake

We had a great stay. The camp was just as we imagined it could be, right on the water. Beautiful sunsets. Knotty pine walls and ceilings. A brand new deck to sit on. Even had a gas stove if needed when it was cold. Nice ceiling fans in every room. Could swim or fish from the doc with a sandy beach.

This is exactly what I expected. Quiet comfortable cabin with amazing views. Sit on the deck and enjoy the sounds of the loons. Easy access to the water which would have been great if the weather had cooperated. The internet wasn’t working while we were there but we had good cell service. Plenty of games and puzzles and books to keep you busy. Very relaxing

Great place to be on Moosehead Lake!

This was a lovely, homey, comfortable place. Very dog friendly. Great sunsets on the deck or the dock. We were able to tie our boat to the dock and explore the lake from a cove we hadn’t stayed in before. Well stocked for kitchen gear but if you plan to cook bring your own spices; there is next to nothing there and during busy season the local grocery store is hit or miss. Plan to live out of your suitcase, the built in drawers are screwed shut. Internet was out for our entire visit so be prepared for non-electric entertainment just in case. Not a hindrance for us but might have been frustrating for the kids if they had been with us.

Other Unit Take Over

We loved the peace and serenity of the cabin. Listening to the Loons on the lake was peaceful to the heart and soul. Our Gilden retriever, who turned one year learned to swim and 'retrieve'. The only problem we had was that the renters in units 2 and 3 made the private dick which was ours, was taken over by them. They were there every morning, before we got up, spent the day, smoking, fishing, drinking, until evening. There was a day where they were away, but left their dogs home, which barked until their owners returned. That said...we would stay at this property again. There just needs to be some clarity as to who has access to the PRIVATE DOCK.

The property was on the lake and had an outstanding view of the water. You could easily walk out on the deck that also was facing the lake. Looking at the inside of the cabin it seemed dated and could have used more up to date decor. There was a cobweb that was very obvious and shelves that were dusty. When I crawled into bed there was sand all over the inside of the sheets on one bed so I moved to another that wasn't sandy. And the Wifi did not work the entire time I was there. I was told they couldn't do anything about it but they did advertise that they had Wifi. She offered me a few dollars off but that was and insult to the disappointment in the facility.

Great vacation get-a-way!!

My Husband and I vacationed here with our Granddaughters (4yrs old & 7 yrs old). It is very well stocked with everything we needed including paper towels, dish soap, travel size soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, towels, etc. There were games, cards, books for adults and children too. Lots of dishes, pots, pans etc. Although there is a coffee pot and tea kettle, an upgrade to a Keurig Kcup maker would be a bonus. It would be nice if check in was earlier than 4pm since the expectation is to be out by 10:00am. And more attention to dusting detail would be good as there were cobwebs in the light over the table, but it is a cabin and I didn't expect perfection :) The lake/mountain views and sunsets were amazing, we heard and saw Loons, Seagulls and a couple different kinds of ducks; a few ducks came to visit a couple of times and were looking to be fed! :) The girls enjoyed swimming in the lake and fishing off the dock too. Overall it was a fantastic 4day/3night stay and I would do it again!!! * Side note: It may be helpful to some to know that there are two other adjoined cabins right behind this one so if you are looking for complete privacy and those are rented out it may change your experience.
