"I gave this hotel the benefit of the doubt because i needed a room and my first choices were already sold out weeks before my daughters' ring ceremony. I knew it wasn't a new hotel, and pictures look nice online.
The hotel has pros and cons depending on what you value. The good things: the staff, the central garden, the social hour (wine and cheese), it is quiet, the location. However, the fact that it is old doesn't mean management should stop investing on it. The paint is fading, the pool is uninviting, the bathroom towel rack is rusted and the furniture, althought vintage, does not look very well maintained.
There was a musty smell masked by Pine-Sol, and the "carpet" on the second story walkway was stained, frayed. The overall condition made us feel uneasy about the room's hygine.
Did i get what i paid for? I do not think so. At $475 USD for one night, I expected much better for my money.
I really hope management does something for this place because they really can make it a great place to stay if they invest on it."
