We dont expect to much as we think it is not so expensive place. Our room was nice and spacious for us 5 . I hope next time or if they have time to fix the childrens playground because the tarpoline looks dangerous for kids now.

Un accessible concierge, urinated beddings.

Duvet smelled of urin. Changed it in reception to other duvet that had farty smell... Later vi discovered that the madrasses where urinated through. By then the reception was closed with no possibilities of contact. It was 17.13.

Vi bodde här ett par nätter och upplevelsen var helt okej. Rummet var rent och funktionellt, inget att klaga på men heller inget som stack ut. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Läget var bra för våra behov. Inget lyxigt, men helt klart prisvärt för det man får. Passar bra om man bara behöver någonstans att sova och fräscha upp sig.

Supert opphold for pengene

Bra plass for pengene, men ingen rampe ved hovedinngang. En stor trapp som gjør inn ut noe tungvindt som handicap eller med barnevogn. Ellers vare service helt suuuuuper, verten hjalp til og med opp/ned med barnevogn når han var til stede samtidig som vi ankom/gikk fra plassen under oppholdet.

Unpassend: 3 Flaschen Wein als Kaufangebot auf einem Familienzimmer, aber größere Mengen Alkohol sollte man nicht konsumieren?! Grindsted trostlos, einzig Nähe zu Billund war positiv und die Tischtennisplatten!

Positive: Nice people working there. Good size room. Not very expencive. Free parking. Negative: Gum pressed into brickwall beside bed, little writing on walls, one main light did not work. When shower the whole floor gets wet.

Disappointing Experience

Stayed at the Danhostel Grindsted for one night in May 2022. The accommodation itself is in a great location near to the bus station and a short walk from shops and supermarkets. This is particularly useful if you're visiting Billund/Legoland but be aware this is a cheap 20 minute bus journey or expensive taxi ride away. The rooms are dorm style and private, there is a bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink, although mine didn't have any soap (you'll need to bring your own) and the shower was really not much use at all. It's really important to note that bed linen and towels are NOT included in the price and quite an expensive extra if you fully occupy the room. You can bring your own though if you wish. The linen I had was a little soiled however the reception is not manned so you can't speak to anyone about it in person. If you open a second pack they will charge you for it, so bear this in mind. A couple of other things to note is that there was a gap you can see through around the windows (ok when I visited but will let a draught through in winter I guess) and you must clean your room yourself before departing, empty the bin, etc or they might charge you for that too. Overall I am disappointed with the accommodation and when I complained a week after departing was told that they "cannot accept complaints almost 10 days after you check in", so please bear this in mind if choosing to stay here.

For dyrt i forhold til forventningerne.

Det er alt for dyrt i forhold til hvad man får for en overnatning. Der var meget lydt, og der var så koldt at vi måtte bede om en varmeblæser ind på værelset, som fremstod noget beskidt i krogene. Køkkenet var beskidt, gulvet direkte ulækkert. Gange og fælles arealer var meget kolde. Så desværre alt i alt skuffende i forhold til prisen. Servicen var tilgengæld pletfri.

Fint overnatningssted tæt på lufthavnen

Jeg landede i Billund kl. 22:30 og kunne ikke nå til Nordjylland med offentlig transport samme dag. Med dagens sidste bus 23:15 nåede jeg nemt til dette hostel, som var rigtigt fint til prisen og formålet. Næste dag gik rejsen let videre med bus Grindsted-Billund-Vejle og tog derfra. Venligt personale og nemt selv-check-in :)
