A true taste of Umbria

Our villa was a traditional building but with more modern facilities which was a perfect mix. Set high in the hills with a magnificent view it was a wonderful location once you got used to driving up there!! Quiet grounds, a good sized outside eating area and a lovely pool made it an ideal holiday venue for our extended family. We all loved it.

Umbria: ulivi, medioevo e tanto altro...

La villa è molto comoda, spaziosa e arredata con gusto. Vi abbiamo soggiornato in 10 persone per una settimana. Le 6 camere da letto e i bagni sono sistemati in modo da consentire privacy a chi vi soggiorna. Ottima anche la pulizia. La cucina è completa di tutto ciò che può servire. La piscina è ad uso esclusivo ed essendo in aperta campagna, si è liberi di divertirsi senza doversi preoccupare di disturbare i vicini. L'accoglienza da parte della proprietà è stata molto cortese e disponibile.

Parfait en tout domaine!

Depuis le premier contact avec le propriétaire jusqu'au dernier, tout a fonctionné parfaitement! Cette maison offre confort, propreté et situation. Aucun détail n'est négligé. La piscine est très bien entretenue par un personnel très discret. Cette villa est parfaite pour trois couples avec enfants et chacun a son intimité. C'est notre plus belle location! Merci d'avoir permis à nos vacances d'être totalement réussie!

Séjour parfait !

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans votre maison; elle est magnifique, très bien agencée pour que chacun ait son espace, et les enfants pouvaient s'amuser dans la piscine sans limite. Nous avons énormément apprécié que les gens qui s'occupent de la maison viennet très discrètement entretenir la piscine et les fleurs , ils étaient très gentils et nous ont même livré des petits pains pour le déjeuner ! Nous avons pris le temps de visiter de super endroits: Assise, Todi, Isola Maggiore, Cascate delle Marmore, et nous sommes également restés à la maison pour profiter de la piscine et la splendide vue sur les collines. Et bien sûr, nous avons été ravis à Montefalco lorsque l'équipe française a remporté la coupe du monde: o) Nous nous sommes régalés des délicieuces pizzas et pâtes à Il Fiaschetto (et ses belles tables, nous y sommes allés deux fois), à Pane e Vino à Todi (excellents plats et vins), à l'Albergo Ristorante da Sauro à Isola Maggiore (grandes pâtes et poissons) Une très belle adresse !

Great location, great stone villa, brilliant pool.

Colle in Ceralto is a classical Italian country villa set in remote but wonderfully positioned countryside, an enjoyable half hour drive to many beautiful Medieval towns in the surrounding area; Montefalco, Assisi and Todi to name a few. The house itself is well equipped with two modern kitchens, dishwasher, microwave, modern oven and good selection of (ikea and local deruta pottery) cutlery and crockery, five (!!) bathrooms (with showers only), very comfortable beds (three twin rooms and three double rooms) and amazing views from every window. Log fire places complement each of the two living areas. All windows have fly screens and shutters. The WI-fi internet was excellent when working but interupted during bad weather. There is a large thick wooden table under the covered terrace outside where we ate all but two of our meals during our month long stay. The brick pizza oven was another highlight. The infinity pool , with views over the adjacent valley was meticulously clean. The surrounding gate was not child proof but acted as a decent deterrent for our four, six and eight year old children. It was also of adequate distance from the house, while still being in plain sight of the terrace. Relaxing on one of the many pool side chairs, while the kids perfected cannon ball dives, was a moment in time I shall store in a special place. In general, the house is better than it looks in the photos. When you spend hours (as I did) trying to remotely choose a location for a long awaited holiday it is difficult to get it right. This house was right. And the thing that made it really special was the owner, his extended family and crew. They were not intrusive, but provided not only a warm welcome, but family olive oil, cheese and bread for our arrival after a long haul flight. The pool and gardens were tidied every other day, the sheets changed weekly, cleaning serviced offered (extra cost) and helpful advice given whenever needed. They even delivered extra wood when an unexpected pizza night demanded it. I would thoroughly recommend Colle in Ceralto. If we ever have the fortune of visting this area again, Alessandro and his family will be the first place I look for a great villa.

Il valore della bellezza

Abbiamo soggiornato per cinque giorni, a Pasqua di quest’anno, nel casolare dell’Elce. Ci siamo stati in 12 (tre famiglie di amici). La casa è molto bella, dotata di tutti i confort, accogliente e calda. E’ perfetta se cercate tranquillità e allo stesso tempo la bellezza della convivialità tra amici. Anche l’esterno aiuta in questo, con il bel patio, il grande tavolo di quercia ed il giardino (peccato che il periodo non permettesse ancora l’uso della piscina). Il signor Andrea è un anfitrione perfetto ci ha accolto con cordialità vera, disponibile ad ogni esigenza od imprevisto, ed allo stesso tempo con discrezione. La posizione della villa permette di raggiungere la maggior parte dei principali paesi e città della regione in tempi brevi e si trova comunque in una zona tranquillissima: uscite di casa fate pochi passi e trovate un’edicola votiva con una Madonna splendida, un minuscolo sacrario che ricorda i caduti delle guerre del vicino paese, qualche pecora e lo spettacolo continuo degli ulivi e delle vigne. A proposito di vino, Montefalco a meno di mezz’ora di auto è un piccolo gioiello.

An amazing place in a beautiful region

We spent 2 weeks in July 2015 in this house (we rent the full house i.e. both floors which I would recommend) and really enjoyed it. It is a great mixt of traditional and modern, very well renovated. Rooms are nice and tastefully furnished, living room is very comfortable with 3 sofas for taking a nap during hottest hours of the day :), kitchen perfectly equipped and very clean, as well as the various bathrooms. We enjoyed the big dining table outside for outdoor meals and barbecues. The pool is really nice as well, perfect dimensions and with a beautiful view. It is cleaned very regularly. The house is located in a quiet and peaceful area, but not too much isolated neither and very convenient to reach. Thanks to the useful tips of the owners, who were always available to assist, we discovered a series of Umbrian small towns, each more amazing than the others, and beautiful landscapes. The region is less packed with tourists than Tuscany and really wonderful. All-in-all, we can only recommend this place - and look forward coming back again !

Molto buone soggiorno a Colle in Ceralto

Eravamo dieci amici che abbiamo passato uno soggiorno molto aggradevole nella casa in Colle in Ceralto, con molto spazio al interno come a l'esterno.Questa è bene situata per le escursione e dopo i viaggi a Assisi, Spoleto, Peruggia, al lago Trasimene..., piaceva noi la piscina quando ritorniavamo alla sera. Il paesaggio e la veduta sulle colle ed i campanili sono molti belli. E il proprietario è molto affabile. Tuttavia due note : - Non è facile l'acceso a la casa la prima volta perchè il piano non è claro. - Non è bastante il materiale ( la cafetteria ) per il caffè della mattina. Se non tutto era molto bene. Ancora grazie mille per l'accoglienza.
